RIP Dean Stockwell

I remember him first from Quantum Leap, but then he was in the reimagined Battlestar Galactica. Occasionally I'd see some older TV show or an older movie and was surprised to see him at a younger age.

I know it but have never seen it. Earliest appearances I've seen him in are Twilight Zone, The Dunwich Horror, and the weirdo hippy/LSD movie Psych-Out.

I loved him in Quantum Leap but he deserves a special mention for Blue Velvet. He had one scene and it was probably one of the most memorable.

So many great roles and impressive performances; but I remember him best as Tony the Tiger from 1988s Married to the Mob. RIP Dean.

In Battlestar Galactica he was grumpy and eminently unlikeable. I guess kind of playing against type.

Well, I never watched that - the reboot anyway. I'm always down for some original Galactica though. Still, I can't imagine that Dean didn't have some of his trademark charm, even in the gruffest of roles.

He was in one of my favorite episodes of the tv show Ellery Queen.

It seems like we’re losing so many from that era. It’s sad. RIP.

That was actually a chance to play several characters, where he's playing copies of the same "model". They all had a basic level of being curmudgeons, but each one had its own personality traits.
