Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

Great update :thumbsup2 The World Showcase pictures are beautiful !

Sounds like a great morning with Brooklyn , the things she says are so darn cute :cutie:

Were all finally feeling better here and the weather is gorgeous today , I only hope it stays that way :)

Your morning with Brooklyn sounds like fun. Are you all on Spring Break this week? Abby is and my sweet mother-in-law is watching her for us. They went to the Nashville Zoo yesterday and said it was fun but very crowded. First day of sunshine in a long time, so I imagine everyone was wanting to get out.

I love the Disney eggs at Publix, too. When we lived in FL that is the only place we shopped so got them often. Kroger is more convenient to us now, but they are building a Publix .5 miles from our house - whoo hoo. Jamie's website is so cute. They sure do make a cute couple.

We had some cousins over there yesterday, too. I saw one of them post on FB.

Kroger is closest to me - 1/2 a mile, maybe.

"Because I'm little Mermaid" :rotfl2: She is so cute! I love her imagination!

One day, Brooklynn will understand her MeMom's dislike of closed spaces and probably laugh and feel bad about shutting you up to keep away the bears. Right now, she probably thinks she's protecting you!

She is fun to talk with.

I hope she knows I will never be riding Mission:Space with her on any future Disney trips. ;)

Trent told me he wished there was a Kroger in Orlando. He thinks Publix is too expensive :) I told Jamie to tell him about the buy one/get one deals that come out every week, and the Publix Promise (if it rings up the wrong price they give it to you free) I'm just glad one of them looks at prices :thumbsup2

He'll keep an eye on the prices. When he is using his own money, he can get very wise very quickly.

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: I love little kids and their conversations.

Yeah, see, that whole threat of having my head bitten off by a bear is what turns me off of camping.

Any camping in my future will probably be done at a Disney campsite. I think the only bear at Fort Wilderness would be Humphrey, and he's cool - not a biter. ;)

I managed to get a picture off the blog (I think), sounds like they had a great time and I can't wait to hear the stories tonight :goodvibes

Balcony1.jpg

Trent, Wigd and Jamie on the balcony at the Boardwalk.

Thanks for that. I thought Shocker would have pictures, but I don't think he did. He probably didn't want to seem invasive with the kids. Jamie got some cell phone pictures. I am anxious to hear the stories, too. When Wigd said dinner was 'a hoot', I pretty much knew how things had gone!

I thanked her on the phone, but they need a public thanks for being so nice to them. Thanks, Anita and Marc, for taking care of our kids last night!

Memom,

I am glad that you and Brooklynn are having fun together this morning. I hope you both are able to avoid any bear attacks.

I went up to the attic to do some things - no bears up there. None in the laundry room, either. :goodvibes

Kids have the greatest imaginations don't they?

Have a great weekend MeMom and Co.!

We sure will. :cool1:

The bear bite would have been quick and painless!

I'll bet Brooklynn is loving her special time with you!
Has Bella been looking for sissy?

How has this Friday come so fast???

She hasn't acted homesick at all, but she did ask today when Bella and Mommy were coming so we could go to the mall. I think she has done very well for her first sleepover. Shows she's a well-adjusted little girl. I'm proud of her.:lovestruc

I know she will be very happy to see her 'little nootle' when she comes in. She has recently dubbed Bella a 'nootle', which we assume is kin to a noodle. But then again, sometimes she calls her a little peanut. So, Bella is a peanut nootle, I suppose. :)

It's looking like spring here, too. Pretty exciting!

Brooklynn says the cutest things....it would be so much fun to be Ariel and go under the sea....:rotfl:

No! I don't want those bears to get either of you....close up that tent or get Drew to scare them away! Or maybe your cat! :rotfl2:

Looks like a pretty view off the balcony last night. Great pic! ;)

I laughed when nowells made a comment about "one of them looking at prices".
My poor son will have a complete shocker when he is on his own someday and he sees the REAL prices of stuff!

Living at home is such a luxury, I remember my first grocery bill as a married woman....

Have a wonderful time with Brooklynn! :lovestruc

I loved your conversation with Brooklynn this morning :lmao:
I'm student teaching in a kindergarten classroom right now and kids truly say the funniest things!

Did you see the preview on the blog? :lmao:

You're right about the thanks! What a treat for Jamie and Trent!

Thanks from me as well Anita and Marc!

They really enjoyed seeing the DVC accomodations - Pop may never seem the same to them again :upsidedow Oh well, maybe it will spur them on to making the big bucks so they can afford to put their dear old moms up in a nice two bedroom villa some day huh! :upsidedow

Ok, as long as we're dreaming we'll make it a Grand Villa :goodvibes Can we put that many people in one of those? That would be so much fun!

Sounds like a plan! Those Grand Villas are huge! Okay everybody got that party at Trent and Jamie's Grand Villa sometime in the future!

My weekend includes finally seeing Alice in Wonderland tomorrow night after I watch Princess and the Frog when I get home from work at 3. What a lovely Disney day :thumbsup2 How about you, do you have any fun planned this weekend??

Love the Brooklynn conversation :rotfl: I guess you lived to tell the camping tale!

I'm glad that you and Brooklyn are having such a great time--bear attacks and all!:goodvibes She is certainly a big girl to be having her first sleepover! My DD enjoys having sleepovers at her MeMaw's house but isn't ready for other places yet. My DS, on the other hand, has been sleeping over with friends since he was 5! That's where he is tonight as a matter of fact!

I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.:goodvibes This week went fast which was good for those of us in school but not so good for those of you off for spring break.

Earlier in the day, the bear would have tripped over about eighty little plastic Disney figures that Brooklynn had all spread around. I

Trent was always very appreciative of having a free place to stay and a full fridge.

We had a good time, but she didn't get a nap, so she is zonked out.

I loved your conversation with Brooklynn this morning :lmao:

Yes, you will hear very interesting conversations from those kids. Only believe half of what they say happens at home.

I told him to remember he only had a Pop pocket, so not to get a Boardwalk taste. At least not for a while.

Love the Brooklynn conversation :rotfl: I guess you lived to tell the camping tale!

We met tinkgurl and her future husband at the hippo tonight. We talked fo a few minutes and got a couple of pictures. It was just a ten minute meet, but nice. They are very sweet. They were eating at Rainforest, and Jill had planned to get Cracker Barrel.

Brooklynn will still be here until lunchtime tomorrow, so I'm not sure what we'll do. I know she's getting a special phone call at ten o'clock. :goodvibes

This spring break was pretty varied - an emotional weekend, being sick for two days, talking to Trent as he transitioned, texting with wigd and tinkgurl on their trips, Brooklynn being here, a DIS meet tonight, and now the weekend ahead.

I would have enjoyed a Disney trip, but now I am glad I still have the Mother's Day trip to look forward to.

I feel like the bears and the humans around here are all about to call it a night. :goodvibes

225 minutes for Soarin'!:scared1: I could never wait that long. Brooklynn is such a big girl for riding Test Track. I kind of feel like there is something wrong with me if I'm afraid to ride it but Brookie is not. The camping conversation cracked me up. I think the closest I'll ever come to camping is the WL.
Jamie's blog is so cute! What a great idea. I buy Disney eggs too. Publix is kind of expensive except for when they have buy one get one free sales. I usually go to Walmart. So much cheaper! I save about anywhere from 25 cents to 60 cents an item. It really adds up. I can't believe Wigd took ribs and mac and cheese from Cap May.
Enjoy the day with your girls tomorrow.:goodvibes

wow all caught up. Great pictures of the girls! so cute.
Sorry for your friends loss. Have said a prayer that the grieving process is swift.
Just intruded on the blog...cute.:rotfl2:
Once again, thanks for the updates girls.

:worship:

It is sad that there are people who wait that long, not knowing how to 'do Disney' the right way.

Our Publix is on the other side of our city, so I never get over that way. I have had good experiences with their bakery, though, and I like their cakes better than Kroger. When it comes to cake time, I also like SAM's.

Wigd was the bringer of ziplock bags, and Trent was the thiever of the next day's dinner plate. I think that's how it worked, anyway.

Thanks for prayers for my friend's family. I had Brooklynn, so I did not go to the funeral, but I heard it was a beautiful service and they seemed very relieved and at peace now. :)

I know there's a lot going on right now, so the blog probably won't be as active down the road, but I love it, and it's nice seeing them in action!

****************************

Jill, the girls, and I went out to Opry Mills last night to meet tinkgurl and her fiance as they came through Nashville. This is their regular stopping spot when they travel through with the family.

We got there just about 5-10 minutes before they did.

Here's Bella waiting in a widespread stance.

A group of pretty DIS girls.

She and her fiance were going to eat at Rainforest Cafe, and we were going to take one loop around the mall and then head home. Her fiance went to get them a spot and came back and told her it would be 50 minutes, so I imagine they prowled the mall for a few minutes, too. I know they were glad to be out of the car after driving all day!

They said they had a really good time, and they did get one of Pop's new rooms, so Jill and I were excited to hear that.

We went by Rocky Mountain Fudge Company to get Brooklynn a treat.

Easter bunnies ready to be devoured.

Anyway, that was our evening. Jill called in for steak and biscuits at Cracker Barrel, and we picked them up on the way home. Everybody was ready for bed at a very decent hour. Both girls had already crashed on the way home.

Cute pictures from your dismeet at the mall !

Love tinkgurl's purse , one of those is so on my list for September , I have a serious purse addiction ! lol

All the candy looks so yummy ! We may just have to make some here at home this weekend , don't worry MeMom if we do I will def post pictures ! lol

Yes, you will hear very interesting conversations from those kids. Only believe half of what they say happens at home.

I visited Patrick in his classroom this week and as they were getting ready to go to lunch, I saw one student sharing something with the teacher that was clearly a bit personal. She made a face and commented to me that the kids have no secrets at this age. I said I'm glad I lead an incredibly boring life!

It sounds like you had a great time with Brooklynn, even if she was a little bit overprotective about the bears! :scared1: I think I would've taken my chances with bear bite as well.

I'll take two of those chocolate bunnies please! YUM.

Great pictures from your Dis meet last night. It sounds like you and Brooklynn had a great girls night out in the tent, bears and mermaids included.
Some of my favorite memories growing up were sleep overs at my Granny's. I was fortunate enough to have two wonderful grandmothers. One who lived about 5 min. from my parent's house and the other only about 30 min. You and Brooklynn are making memories that will last a lifetime.
