It's a deal
I love those tigers! Two of them were sleeping when we were there but the third one was pacing a little bit. One of the gorillas at AK had a baby around 5 PM on Friday! We saw the cute little guy(or girl? I don't remember ) on Saturday! We couldn't see him very well though, since his mommy was holding him off in the corner. We could see his little head poking out of his mom's arms though
I am always glad any time I can see them up running around or playing in the water. I really love it when we get to see new baby animals! I think I would be so happy working in that place.
I somehow missed the tigers this trip...sigh...guess I need a do-over!
The parrots are so pretty! I don't have an issue with birds, but I could never have birds that big as pets. We have cockatiels and it really hurts when they bite. I don't want to imagine what a beak that big could do.![]()
I know for sure that I am in the minority (or just completely and totally alone) on this one, but I think that bats have the cutest little faces. I tried telling Charles that recently, and he looked absolutely horrified.I can't help it, I have a fondness for things that most people find creepy (like bats, and lizards...)
Do-over?
Tell Dad to break out the glasses and start the planning!

I think some of those bats look like little chihuahuas. I don't have a problem watching them in a place like that. I probably wouldn't want to be swooped down upon by one, but so far, I don't have a huge aversion to bats. We study about them in October in school, and the kids think they're pretty cool animals.
Ah, you know I can't get enough of Animal Kingdom shots!!!
Coincidentally, my dogs are all looking rather like those tigers right now!![]()
I love Animal Kingdom, as you know. I still haven't spent enough time there or photographed everything I want to.
My cat looks like his big striped relatives quite often, too.

MeMom, so funny you should say we could go the Earl of Sandwich when I was thinking Trent might enjoy a steak at Shula's....![]()
If he knew his schedule, I'd tell you to set him a plate! He would love a good steak. We'll figure out how to get you guys together, be it steak or peanut butter and jelly, which will probably be what he'll be eating until he gets his first good paycheck.

You will really like Wigd.....![]()
Yes, you will. How could anybody not like such a giving, caring, Disney loving girl?
I love Animal Kingdom! The tigers are just beautiful, and I love the birds!
If we're ever there at the same time, that's where we will have our DIS meet, then.

I really don't remember your hair being that long or wigd's being that short!
Ahhhhh....Animal Kingdom.
Yep. That's what I say. We're reading a book called Zoos right now at school, and I have pretended myself into Animal Kingdom many times in the past week. I've shown the kids some of my AK pictures, and they love it!
Thanks. I just get nervous meeting people.

And that's when I'd walk the other way...
Trent and Jamie will make you feel at ease. They're around your same age. wigd will, too. Shocker will just sneak into the background and take pictures.

Thanks for the pic Shocker! Now I know who to look out for in the Boardwalk Lobby!
If it's warm, he might be wearing striped shorts instead of long pants. And wigd may have changed to purple hair by then. I hope you do see them, either way.

your AK pictures....I must admit I do have a fondness for those bats although I swear their furry body part is the size of my dog! I think their wings are so intriguing to look at.
So funny you snapped a picture of your neighbors food
Tracy
The wings are interesting - long, thin fingers covered with skin. I think the furry part and the face looks like a little dog.
We weren't eating, so I took a picture of what someone else was eating.

I love all the theme and details that goes into AK!
Those bats look like they don't want to be my friend!!
Only you would take a picture of some random people's food!
I could very well use a mickey cutting board.
Yes, there is much to see in AK.

I wanted one of the little Mickey bowls.
Wow! I missed a lot. I had to go back like 10 pages and find out where you mentioned a second interview. So congratulations are in order for your baby boy. I think, personally, that it can be a weird transition when as a "grown up" you get that first real "grown up" job. Like when you finally graduate college and you are no longer a student? We are students for SO long and then it's like, now what?? Good for him.
It's totally hilarious that you took a picture of a strangers food!
He's going to be a big boy now.

Oh crongratulations to Trent! That's awesome! I know it's sad for you Memom but everything will work out just fine I'm sure. At least we live in the age of technology, that makes keeping in touch much easier! And he's a good boy, I'm sure he'll remember to call home!
I love that you took sneaky pictures of your neighbours' food! That is hilarious! Totally something I would do! But I definately skip the bats! Yuck! I am definately scared of bats!
Oh, he'll call. I have no doubt he loves his Mama.

I was just taking random pictures, and the food smelled so good; I couldn't help myself.
I definitely treasure every moment with him. I feel so lucky to have been given this adorable, happy, giggling, smiling little boy who is so clever and inquisitive! Sometimes I look at him and just feel like I might burst with all the love I have for him. He actually makes me cry tears of happiness I am so proud and happy he is mine - we made him and I brought him into this world!
Over in the UK at the moment they are showing a documentary on a maternity ward - and we have seen babies being born, Mum's labouring etc... last night a baby was born and wasn't breathing as he came out. You could see them working on him. It was hard watching and I was crying my eyes out! It felt like the longest few minutes ever but finally the baby cried and was OK. He has a bit of fluid on his lungs and was making squeaking sounds! He was taken to the special care unit and made a full recovery. After watching I just went and sat in Toby's room and looked at him for a while, then picked him up and gave him a little drink (he's not very well - teeth!).
I can't believe I have a lifetime of happiness with him!
Love your AK piccies - especially the kitchen shopping! I LOVE Mickey kitchen bits!!!
Also love the food pics - I would want to make sure Flame Tree BBQ is one place we eat at next year!
Well it is 8.50am now and I really must start work! I have lots to do this morning, then when that's done I can relax a bit!!!
I even had to have a cup of coffee this morning, not a cup of tea, to wake me up!
Sorry for the long post!!!
xxx
I cry whenever I watch A Baby Story. I cry when I watch Animal Planet. It's a good thing I don't watch much TV.

Flame Tree - just follow your nose. It smells so good around that place!
