We will have no students on the 19th, for a SACS teacher work-day, so the 20th could be a possibility. Now I'm starting to think, "DDs and I could go up Friday evening, spend the night, shop, make a girls overnight trip of it....." I'll let you know!![]()
Just let us know. Jill plans to be here to meet Dawn (punkin) that Friday afternoon. That's the plan as of now, but we never make promises. With kids, you just never know what might change.
Snow day here too... day three. The problem is it is still coming. Even DH is on his way home soon... closed at 9:30.
Love the pictures... I have no camera talents so Drew's pictures are extra treats...
We do writing workshop with Lucy Calkins too... or at least we used to. Now we barely teach writing, after all the workshops, week long seminars in NY with Lucy too.
I watched the Cake Boss this morning... I am a bit obsessed with where the shows stay. I could not figure it out for sure, saw them baking perhaps at POFQ, delivering at the Yacht club, and birthday party at the GF. It was a nice taste of Disney.
We barely do any writing either, even though we have a million dollars worth of training (which we never really understood) and books. Our system wastes so much money, yet is always crying poor.
I got the same sense you did - they were in lots of places. I will be honest, I didn't sit down and watch it. It was on and I was in the same room, but I was working on other stuff. I did enjoy seeing several Disney moments, though.
Drew's pictures are very nice! I like the pics of the bridge. And wouldn't it be nice to be in that boat with the GF behind you?
It's a cold rainy day here. Poor Clay had to fly to Bowling Green, OH yesterday. His flight was late leaving Charlotte due to mechanical problems and he missed his connecting flight in Detroit. He ended up renting a car at Detroit airport and driving the rest of the way. He called me this morning and said it was already snowing there and it was cold. He's not a happy boy! Girl Scout cookies have arrived so I've got to pick up Hannah's cookie orders later. I can't wait to get my Do-Si-Dos!
Won't it be nice to see Mr. Sun again this spring?!?!?
I bet you were glad when your hubby got to his destination safely.
Our writing program is called Writing Destinations. I wish we used Lucy Caulkins' program -- I remember reading her stuff in undergraduate school.
We had a terrible presenter, and we truthfully didn't get what she said. They gave us the books, but really all we want are simple books of topics/story starters, etc. Much simpler.
Snow Day for me too!
Love all the pics in this update. I wish I was on that boat on the Seven Seas Lagoon right now!
Woo! More Pop pics! I'm getting more and more excited!
Good. Maybe you can do some trip planning.

Yep! David turns 18 on the 18th, and we are Wilderness Lodging from the 17-20. Just a short trip and than we have the 6 month wait until August!! We've talked several times how we don't know if we'll make it, but i'll be posting a Pre-TR when we come back later this month!
Let us know when you start. Good luck with the waiting. We're only one and a half months from having been, but it still seems like I won't be able to live until it is time to go again in 4 1/2 months.
you are cruel!
i saw that episode. that little girl was REALLY into herself and when she kept talking about the male judge liking her i wanted to vomit....so sick!!! and what's really sad is that she won, so she was rewarded for her behavior...at least in her mind.
have you seen the ones that wear flippers (fake teeth)? COMPLETELY FRIGHTENING!!!
LOVE the pics from the pop bridge! and the ones he took of the bikers are great, too!
I haven't seen fake teeth. I don't even know why I had that show on to even start watching it.
Glad you liked Drew's pictures.

This untrained eye thinks Drew is quite talented! Here's hoping he gets to have the career he is wanting!
another snow day in Iowa too...this is getting OLD! We have so much snow on the ground I'm worried about what will happen when it all actually starts to meltLast time I was at Disney, there was record flooding going on. (it sure is odd to turn on the news in Orlando and see them reporting from familiar towns) I sure hope the same thing doesn't happen in May
I hope it works out for him, too.
Flooding will certainly be a problem in some places when it melts, and that will be really bad and sad.
Wigdoutdismom, I just saw your ticker and it looks like our trips start on the same day at the same hotel!
Drew's pics are really great...the bridge ones at sunset are really pretty!
DIS meet!
