a Princess and the Frog meal, right?

what a great send-off!

Princess and the Frog comes out Tuesday, so we'd planned to do this anyway.

mine was pre-ordered a few weeks back so it should be on its way in the mail!

Brooklynn helped decorate, of course. You may notice that she has put in an additional character to this story.

Jarvis had his mouth WIDE OPEN, didn't he?

it looks like trent may be getting ready to throw something in there!

He got in the car and pulled away, and we all stood there for a minute. The guys all gave firm handshakes and a few more hugs. Jarvis hung onto Brandon for a minute, and they were both wiping off tears.

oh, my goodness....this makes me want to drive up there and give jarvis a hug myself!!!!

looks like you guys had a fun night, even if it was bittersweet. i know this will be a great change for trent and he will move on to awesome things! and you will see him often enough where it's not too painful to say goodbye. just be thankful he's still relatively close. with brooke being in connecticut, she only gets home 2, maybe 3 times a year. now saying goodbye to her at the airport is horrible! especially for my dad who is a big sap.

hope you are feeling better as the day and week goes on. and glad to hear bella is feeling better today!

Our P&F was sort of thrown together at the last minute, and since my crew wouldn't go for the Cajun cooking, I just made 'normal' food and threw the decorations in.

I talked to Jill while she was driving home, and she was okay, but she said she just wanted to go home and go to sleep. I haven't called her, because I don't want to bother her if she's been able to get some sleep.

I will enjoy my time with Brooklynn. I'm going to do chores and run errands Monday and Tuesday and be ready to hang out with her later in the week.

We'll start working on good meeting places. I think it was Heather who suggested Stone Mountain. We have been there, but it's been a long time. We'll find a couple of spots in GA and then Destin will be a choice, too, for the middle meets.

Brooklynn slept with my newest Ee-war last night, and he went out with us to say our farewells this morning.


A little while ago I got a picture of Trent and Jamie. I asked where they were, and she texted back that they were eating at a new BBQ place. Jamie's mom took them out for dinner. I'm pretty sure he feels like he's off to a good start already.

I can picture all of my kids at age two. What fun memories! Aren't we so, so blessed to have our kids?

We had to travel a rough road together, so we are extremely close. We'll be doing a lot of travel between all of us, because we won't go very long without seeing each other.

Whew! That may have been the toughest post yet, MeMom -- seeing pictures made it all the more real. However, I must say that Trent is off to a good start -- who doesn't like being taken out for barbeque to break up a drive!

Although I do have to say that Brooklyn's addition of a dalmation into the midst of the Princess and the Frog did make me laugh quite hard!

This week is spring break for you, right? Just think -- you won't have to go to work tomorrow!

Thanks for all the hugs, thoughts, and prayers today guys! I don't think it has truly hit me since I am used to being away from Trent. I think it will hit the next time I'm up there and he isn't. However, Brooklynn was devastated in the car on the way home before she fell back to sleep. She started crying and in between sobs she said she didn't want her Bubby to go away. I don't think that she still fully grasps the concept that he is gone. That will probably come at the end of this week when she is hanging out with Mom and he's not there to swing her up in to the fan or smack her in the face as he walks by or just argue with her just to argue. It will definitely take some getting used to for her, but we will definitely be using Skype and visiting or meeting up as often as we can. 700 miles is not going to keep my girls from the Uncle Bubby they love so much!
