Riding the train at night

I know DS will want to ride the train again, and I was thinking it might be a lower crowd ride to do in the evening between our FP for BTMRR and Splash, time permitting. But is it less interesting at night since it's dark? Or are there nice views of lit up rides, etc?

We did this as a rest activity last year, and I just can't remember much about it.

From what I remember its pretty dark on the train

you must be getting there just as Splash is reopening from rehab- sad it will not be open next week

Just be sure you're not getting close to parade time as I'm pretty sure they stop the train during the parade. Someone will come along and correct if I'm remembering incorrectly.

Although I've never experienced the MK Train at night...I've been told that it is sensational. In fact, I will make it a point to ride it at night on our next visit.

First time I rode it was at night, and I was pretty underwhelmed. Was expecting to see all kinds of cool stuff, and I saw literally nothing. Rode it the next day in daylight, and was like, "hey there's actually some stuff back here!" I feel like at night it's more for getting from point a to point b.

Would it save time to ride the train from the entrance station to the Adventure Land station in order to get to Pirates League or will it be faster to walk?

We just got back and not sure if the schedule is normal but the train was only open till 7pm and the park stayed open later. At 7pm it was getting dark so maybe it closes around the time it gets dark.

OffTopic!!!!
I am perusing the boards tonight and keep seeing the title to this thread. And now Journey is stuck in my head!

"She took the midnight train going anywhere…" :rolleyes1

Thanks for putting THAT song in my head for the rest of the night - and Don't Stop Believing!

Let me reset your brain with another song....say, "Let it Go"?

Sensational? There is nothing to look at for 90% of the journey in the dark, if you are going all the way around.
