Riding 7DMT before rope drop?

That's why I'm glad I was able to get BOG instead of CP. I'm crossing my fingers that they don't stop letting you ride early. Can't wait to see...
We also have an early BOG booked for our upcoming trip with this in mind. I mean, I look forward to the food and atmosphere at BOG, but early access to Mine Train would be an advantage, as well.

We had an 8am at bog in early June and were able to go to 7dmt around 8:40 well before rope drop crowd. We rode twice then went to the rope that was waiting to let people into the Peter Pan/ small world area. I'm not going to lie. It was awesome.

The best part of BOG is that since you are at a CS restaurant you can cut cost by ordering off the kids menu or don't order anything at all. My family of 5 ate breakfast for around $45 since my wife ordered off the kids menu and I didn't order a meal. Just ate the pastries.

Did you preorder online? I read recently that they were allowing folks to order however they wanted but not sure if these folks are placing preorders or doing it once the arrive.

We did this on our trip that ended a week ago. They held us until the rope drop crowd was in sight, then we were allowed to enter the FP line. There was time for 1 ride only. We pre-ordered our meals to save time. It worked quite well- we enjoyed the breakfast and the quick ride is a great perk!

This is exactly what we're hoping for then we can use our FP for something else. Did you pre-order your meal?

As others have said this is true for the BOG ADR. Just make sure you leave the restaurant before 8:40 b/c sometimes they let rope drop people in before 9:00. We did this a couple of weeks ago and were the first in line for 7DMT that day and we were able to get a ride swap, which allowed my wife and daughters to be 3rd in line to meet A&E. We rode it two times before crowd arrived. Probably could have ridden it again but decided to hurry up and get to space mountain and Buzz Light Year.

So you had to book a reservation for 5 but didn't have to order 5 meals? I have some picky eaters that were not happy with the choices. I really want to do this but do not want to spend $20 a piece for something they will not eat.

June 7th. Pre-opening BOG ADR. We rode 7DMT twice before the RDers arrived (and were offered a third, but declined when we saw the horde approaching). It's my understanding that they stopped the practice of allowing unlimited rides the following week, though, and are now holding guests at the restaurant and are only allowing one pre-opening ride.

You can order from the kids menu as well.

I find the unfairness claims on these boards so funny. It's almost like my 7 yr old and 5 yr old!

Your comment making fun of other people who post is just as childish.

The op wasn't screaming unfair. She was simply questioning the fairness of a practice. These boards are for people to pose questions and to get polite answers and information without being made fun of or criticized.

I think the question is very reasonable. I can understand why a person who ate at CP or CRT would see a guest who ate at BOG get an early ride and be upset if they were told they had to stand there and wait until rope drop.

If you don't have a helpful or informative response to a post then you shouldn't respond.

So a handful of people who paid over a hundred bucks for breakfast (assuming at least 2 adults and a child) get to ride a ride before you do.

This is a crisis? The 7DMT line is 5 minutes longer than it would have been and folks are upset by this?

Holy cow.

Where in this thread did you see anyone say this was a crisis? Where do you see that anyone is upset?

Holy cow is right! A person simply asked if anyone knew anything about something he/she heard about on another forum. No one was starting a protest for gosh sakes!

I think some people post because they just like to hear themselves "talk".

This forum isn't for people like you. It's for friendly discussion and helping others.

Ah well, thanks for letting me know that this forum isn't for me. Considering all three of your posts are full of calling others childish and acting like the forum police, it seems *you* might being having trouble understanding how a forum works. Your definition of a "friendly" forum is quite odd. There has been nothing friendly what-so-ever about your posts.

Hope your afternoon gets a little better Babs.

And for the record, folks *did* call it unfair. Reading is fun!

If you want an alternate strategy that will avoid all the drama, the line gets really short later at night. Earlier this month right after Wishes we waited about 5 minutes for 7D. The posted wait time was 65 minutes.

We preordered on our way to the park via the My Disney Experience App.

That is correct. I didn't order a meal just ate pastries.
