On 10/16 I emailed Member Services via the Contact Us while signed into my account asking them to combine a one day res with a 7 day res, and also put in a request for Kudo trail. Today, 6 almost 7 days later, I got a response. It will take them 5-7 days. After they are combined,
"Once you receive the email confirmation letter, you can submit your request to have the room request added."
Such a simple thing, and it will take 12 to 14 days just to combine the one day!!

Then they said.
"Disney Vacation Club values our Members' feedback and would appreciate you taking a moment to fill out a survey on the service I provided you today.
Please click on the following link to complete our survey. https://www.disneysurveys.com/wix/p22093388.aspx?AGT=Larry"

The link does not work!!

I didn't want to wait on the phone. It is not urgent. But that is totally ridiculous.
And when I "submit my request to have the room request added", that will probably take 14 days too!

I used to be able to combine without losing a day online, but after having lost some a couple times, I am afraid to try anymore.

Do you all think this is as ridiculous as I do?
 
I doubt it will take the 5-7 days stated, but I suppose it could (if so, yes seems ridiculously long).

For future reference you can use the chat feature to request this. They will fill out a form immediately to have it done. In my experience it was usually completed within 24 hours.

Thank you. I have never used the chat feature. I have done the email for requests before, and usually got a response in about 5 days, at which time it was completed, not telling me it would take 5-7 days after 7 days.

But the link not working for our "valuable feedback" ensures no complaints.
 
I used the same process to link/combine two reservations at Aulani a few months ago. Worked perfectly and only took a couple of days.
 

It seems they are telling people it will take that long because they don’t want to say less and then make people even more upset.

I too use the chat feature as much as I can for the requests and to ask it to put in the request to combine. It’s always done in 48 hours.

Disappointing about your link but I got an email with a surgery link last week and it did work.

The amount of time it’s taking to accomplish fairly simple & routine tasks seems to be getting longer, as are the length of the phone wait times. I’m not sure what the issue is - trying to cut costs by reducing staff, or having problems w/ being fully staffed, or reduced productivity from remote working - are all possibilities.
The broken link I’d probably laugh at given Disney’s abysmal tech.
BTW, at AKL the hallways are named after African animals, thus the hallway/trail named after an African antelope - a Kudu. Kudo means an honor or accolade.
 
For something non-urgent, waiting 5-7 days seems to be better than wasting time on the phone for something.

Break that cycle and wait that time if it’s truly non-urgent. You don’t have to add to the phone call problem.

Thank you. I know of the Kudu, but see it on a map as Kudo, so put that down, not wanting to look as stupid as I in fact did. lol.
 
I have also been waiting more than 3 weeks for a request to combine my reservations (which I was told would take 5-7 business days, not weeks). Now I cannot even modify one of those reservations to switch out some points... who knows why, both were made within 7 months. I have to call or chat again. I agree it is ridiculous. What is also ridiculous is the sudden loss of all Aulani availability for every single room category from December to March overnight a few weeks ago. Should have saved some screenshots. I have lost faith that the DVC website accurately reflects actual availability, and that the waitlist system is not taking rooms out of inventory unnecessarily.
 
Combined reservations today. They submit a form now and it takes 5-7 days. They prioritize those arriving in next 10 days then do based on when received.

Would be nice like many things if they just allowed this to be done online by us instead of even needing to connect up with them.

I just call, leave the phone on speaker while I am working, and when they answer then pick up myself.
 
I called on Thursday and put in a request to combine a 1-night stay with an 9-night stay. I was told the same thing that it could take up to 5-7 days. However I got an email last night confirming my combined reservation, so it only took 3 days. Also our trip is not until May 20th.

I read on another post that physical membership cards are going away at the end of the year. So, if you want the special red card, that’ll be an extra ILL purchase.
 
Okay called and asked to have my rooms merged on October 25th.

Still not merged as of tonight.

I agree with the title of this thread. Its ridiculous and additionally I have to seemingly call to book a room with any points not attached to my home resort inside 7 months I can't just add-on a day.

Its getting to the point where someone new needs to be put in charge of the website for members.
