That may be a record because I've always waited at least 3-5. The real issue is my MDE is still showing my previous reservations with the 2 nights in a studio which is not the case right now. Oh boy! I can't update it on MDE either.
You are remembering correctly. They use to merge immediately on the phone. It was before the pandemic. I am guessing that is when they stopped, to try to shorten phone times. (Lots of people affected by the closure and trying to get everything figured out.) I don't know dates of when 2-5 weeks became normal, but yes, it did precede this thread. I recall seeing it quite a few times, but could not point you to a thread. Most were people calling, so I expected doing it by email would go the same time or faster----that when they read the email, they would go ahead and merge it--solve the issue. Instead, it was 7 days before someone responded to my email, and said they put in the merge request (so passed it on instead of doing it), and it would take the 5-7 days to do it. It took 3 weeks total before done.Really? I thought they would be able to go in and do this. I too, usually email them but decided to call this time and was taken aback when she mentioned a merge form. Maybe I'm misremembering, but I thought they had done this for me at least once before.I guess not. There's one good thing though, I learned not to waste my time calling.
