Rides you will absolutely, positively NOT ride?

I haven't met that contraption yet, but I'll let you know when I do. Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point in Ohio gives me a few quivers but only because it's always broken down!

Hi! I'm new to the boards (but a lurker for a longggg time).

I don't like the rockets at MK. We rode them once, but never again!!!!!:crazy2:

That's easy almost all the rides!
I don't go any rides in Epcot or MGM
At MK. I only go on Buzz, Winnie Pooh, Peter Pan
I don't go on Splash Mountain, because I just don't think is that great.

I will never go on:

Astro Orbiter
Mission Space
Summit Plummet

I will only go on the tea cups if my family promises they will NOT turn the disk in the middle. You can actually have a pleasant ride if no one dares to turn the disk. If your cup feels like it's starting to spin, you can prevent this by taking control of the disk using a death grip to force it to stay put. Doing so will feel like driving a truck without power steering, but hey, it works. If you see some nut on the tea cups doing this, that will be me. The person next to me will be my DGS who will be pouting because ours is the only tea cup not spinning.

That said, I love TOT, RockinR, all the mountains, and will ride all other rides.

I have turned into a wimp over the years.

I've ridden TOT twice. The first time I forced myself and I was so scared I started to cried when they shut the elevator door.

I got off thinking, that wasnt so bad, but chickened out the next trip. The next trip I mustered the courage again and then sat next to a woman who was even more scared then me. She was screaming (loudly) HERE IT COMES over and over as we neared the drop zone. We got a easy sequence (where you dont drop all the way) but I think thats my last time.. I really get SO scared and panicked.

I also wont ride Splash Mountain because of the drop anticipation.

Ive ridden ROR a couple of times and I love the ride but hate the take off. Lat time I rode with my hubby and he was talking as we were heading over to the take-off zone and I had to tell him to hush because I was close to crying again.... What a baby!

Astro Orbiter, definitely! I do all of the "mountains", coasters, TOT, "wars", MS, etc. but that ride gives me the willies! The height, the spinning, NOOOOOO! :scared:

Coasters, no problem - bring em on!
Spinning, not a chance.....

Me too. Add primeval whirl to the list for me.

I did the Tower of Terror once and that was enough for me. I can't handle drops. I don't think that I'll ever do Mission Space either because I hate small dark spaces and spinning. Most simulators are OK for me though.

i'll have to be having one of my brave days to do TOT again. See i'm a somewhat reformed coaster chicken as i found out my real issue was heights and falling so if the coasters is in the dark no problem. So here's my story with my first coaster ride(RNRC)without being forced and TOT which i was less afraid of at the time. So TOT was up first well no problem just a little nervous as the door close but very cool until the drop and this was when my DH got ready for the scream from **** by plugging his ears. Well we dropped i tried to scream and nothing came out scared silent. Well lets just say my DH could not stop laughing and i haven't been on ever since. On the other hand i almost chickened out on RNRC at the last minute but loved it and have ridden many time since. Well who know with 2 trips coming up i just might do it. You know off course i'll have to buy the ride photo as proof.

Another vote for the tea cups. This has to positively be the worst ride anyone could have ever invented for motion sickness prone people such as myself. Just looking at the ride makes me feel queasy.

The only one I absolutely refuse is the Teacups. I don't spin. Period. End of convo. NEVER. I just wind up hurling afterwards. I did try M:S once after taking some dramamine and did ok but towards the end had the feeling I was gonna blow if it didn't stop soon. Once was plenty for me. Nothing else had bothered me. I'm not wild about SM though. It's very rough and jerky. DSis loves it though so I go on it to keep her company. I don't get sick, I just worry that my neck will snap! Now ToT, I could strap in at opening and stay there till closing. I LOVE that thing! If you've ever been on when someone starts clapping and yelling "Again, Again" afterwards, you were probably on with me!!

Well, there is nothing I am THAT against, but...

I'm not big on Kali River Rapids. I don't like the feeling of being drenched.

I also have no desire to go on the Indy Speedway or AStro Orbiters ever again. Astro Oribiters was not designed for anyone who is over 5 feet tall and weighs over 95 lbs.

Oh - I get sick on the TeaCups. But I'd still go on it if the line was short. :)

1. Teacups
2. Goofy's Barnstormer
3. Astro Orbitors
4. Space Mountain - once was way too much
5. Mission Space
6. Test Track - again, once was way too much
7. TOT
8. RnRC
9. Primeval Whirl

In the "been there-never again!" category:
1. Teacups
2. AstroOrbiter
3. Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse

Never gonna try Mission Space. I learned it had a warning for those who suffered from Migraines that they may not want to ride. Don't want to risk a Migraine at WDW!

I am definitely a thrill seeker and will ride many rides. But there are two rides that I will NEVER ride again

1. The Tea Cups ( I hate rides that spin) can we say spontaneous combustion of what ever I ate that day.

2. Mission Space...Been There Done That NEVER doing it again! DH even got sick and he can usually stomach rides of this sort!

Another vote for Body Wars and Tea cups. I love the thrill rides, but can not spin. As for Body Wars, it just jerks you all over. Even my two kids were ill after that one.

i used to pride myself on being a thrill rider but as the years pass I find myself wimping out too! i haven't rode all the rides at WDW yet, and there are a few I probably will never ride:

Mission space - even been 'double dog dared' by a good friend diser I just don't think i can do it

Primerval Whirl - after seeing it called Primerval Hurl -well that was enough for me (spelling?)

i haven't been to any water parks yet but i won't do major drop ones

ones I hope to muster the courage to do someday:

ToT - this was on my agenda for January but after reading this thread i'm scared

RnRR -- not liking the idea of the take-off

teacups - i'd rather not but i'll do for DD if I have too

my position is - i wait too long for my visits to the world and they are too short to risk not feeling good due to a ride!

however I LOVE SPACE MOUNTAIN!!

for the fellow buckeye who goes to Cedar Pt -- you are way brave, there were too many rides there out of my comfort zone!
