Starting to stress about things because, well, that is what I do! I have done Disney in an ECV several times but hopefully this time can be a little different. I am doing much better than I have in years. In the past I had to stay in my ECV except for transferring to rides but I am a lot more mobile now. Still can't comfortably walk or stand for more than a few minutes so have to have the ECV in lines etc, but my balance is much better and as long as I take it easy I am actually pain free most days. This changes how I can approach the rides and shows.
So a few questions that came to mind last night when I couldn't sleep:
Big Thunder Mountain: I haven't ridden in a few trips because it was too painful but I think want to try it this time. BUT, I seem to recall there was some sort of issue with the way the trains come back into the load area that meant I had to ride 2x to get back to my scooter. I don't want to ride it twice! Once is enough. Am I remembering correctly?
If so it will make a difference because I guess I will do it early in the day when I have more stamina and have to walk back to my scooter. Is it possible to get back to where I left it?
OR
Can DH and one DD ride first and then when they come back other DD and I ride and DH can take the scooter to somewhere I can get to it?
Otherwise I will just skip it.
Transfer to seat for some shows: For shows like Lion King and Monster's Inc Laugh Floor is there somewhere out of the way that I can park my scooter and sit with my family? In the past it was too difficult to walk up steps or even take more than a few steps so I just stayed on the scooter. But I couldn't sit with the whole family since they would only let one or two people stay with me so DH would usually take the 2 girls to sit or one would stay with me. I would like to sit with the whole family! But I do have to have the scooter for the lines/wait for the show.
And I have transferred to the seat for the shows like Little Mermaid and Tough to be a Bug, but again I remember that the rest of the family couldn't sit with me. I would rather park the ECV out of the way and then join the regular seats with them.
Blizzard Beach: To get to the Family Raft Ride from the ski lift how long is the walk and are there steps? I haven't done this since our very first trip and the kids really want us to all do it.
