1) what if my 3yo is tall enough but scared to go on a ride? Can we still do rider swap?

2) if one or two adults go on a ride w my 6yo while one adult stays with the 3yo, can the 6yo go on the ride again the second time w the adult who is swapping??

1. Many say yes you can request a Swap pass.

2. Any 3 riders can ride on the SWAP.

It could be that this has been on the site for a while, but I was just checking the "official" description of rider switch on the Disney site to help me advise someone with a question. Has it said the following for a while now -- specifically the highlighted parts?

What Is Rider Switch and How Does It Work?
If Guests in your party can’t or don’t want to board an attraction, you don’t have to miss out!

If a child does not meet the height requirement or a Guest does not wish to board a particular attraction, no problem! With Rider Switch, one adult can wait with the non-rider (or riders) while the rest of the party enjoys the attraction. When the other adult returns, they can supervise the non-riding Guests, and the waiting adult can board the attraction without having to wait in the regular line again!

Rider Switch is available at select attractions at all 4 Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.

To Use Rider Switch:

1. First check with a Cast member to see if Rider Switch is offered at the attraction in question.

2. Once at the attraction, approach the greeting Cast Member with your entire party. At least one adult member of your party and the Guests who are not riding will be given a Ride Switch pass and asked to wait in a designated area (usually outside of the attraction). This group is “Party 2.”

3. The other party members (“Party 1”) ride the attraction.

4. After riding the attraction, Party 1 locates Party 2 and gives the Rider Switch pass to the adult member who will be riding. Party 1 takes over supervision of the non-riding children or Guests.

5. Party 2 enters and boards the attraction without having to wait in the regular queue a second time. The Rider Switch Pass must be presented to a Cast Member at this time.

If the person in Party 2 waited alone with the child, he or she may bring one other Guest back to ride the attraction with him or her. Please note that only 2 Guests are allowed per Rider Switch Pass.

Hi @subtchr!
Yes, the site has been incorrect for quite some time - possibly years. :)

Interesting that FEA has been added but not 7D.

It's still 3 riders on the Swap and people do use the site to argue the Swap pass for a tall enough rider who balks on riding.

Thanks as always! I thought that was the case, but I have people on a Facebook page insisting otherwise. And of course there is no convincing them...

Any ride that has a restriction based on height etc provides rider switch

Rode 7DMT numerous times last week with rider swap

We were there last week. At 7DMT we had one FP. We went to the FP entrance and asked for the rider switch with my 39" nephew who is just three and did not want to ride. They said we could get a rider switch but should all go through the queue since he was tall enough. But we only had one FP. Finally they gave my husband the lanyard to get the rider switch and let him go in the FP line and he got the rider switch. But it was clear the cast member at the FP entrance would have preferred that we all had a FP. It turned out ok but was a bit uncomfortable and not as easy as I had hoped. It was the Tuesday before thanksgiving so maybe that's why.
