Rider Swap Question - Is this allowed?

I have a rider swap question that I haven't seen answered elsewhere so I am hoping someone can help me.

I know people can use rider swap and split fast passes for height restricted rides - so 1 parent and a child has a fastpass for Splash Mountain and the other parent has a fastpass for Space Mountain. That allows a child to ride both rides. But do cast members object to rider swap for doing the same ride twice. So instead of splitting the fastpasses between attractions among your party, your whole party has fastpasses for the same ride and then generate two rider swap tickets?

As an example, say a family with 2 parents, 1 tall child, and a baby go to MK. They get the three fastpasses for Splash Mountain. They all show up to Splash Mountain and Parent 1 and tall child ride and Parent 2 receives the rider swap ticket. Then once the ride is over (say 20 minutes later), everyone shows up again and Parent 2 rides alone with their fastpass (not the rider swap ticket) and Parent 1 receives a 2nd rider swap ticket for the same baby. The result is that Parent 1, Parent 2, and the older child rode Splash Mountain once, and they now have two rider swap tickets for the rest of the week.

Does that work? Do the cast members object when you request a 2nd rider swap ticket because you already received a rider swap ticket a 20 minutes before?

I don't think they would even know if you received a second one or not. At least the way they were passing them out the last time that we used it. That being said, I can't remember if the rider swap is only good for that day or not.

People will complain on the boards that this is not fair but yes, you can do that since technically both parents waited in the Fast Pass line at some point.

Yup, that will certainly work. From a practical perspective, there's no way a CM will notice or remember that your family was there earlier.
From a philosophical perspective, all of the adults in your group are entitlied to use their FP+s however they want, and each time someone rides a ride via FP+ or standby, they are entilited to use the baby swap if they have a child. So it's both doable and totally legit.

ETA: Babyswap passes are now good until the end of the month. (Not sure when they expire if it's already the last day or two of the month...)

That's what I was wondering about since our trip overlaps months and we have three different parks in two different months. I don't think it'll be an issue for us to use them the same day we get them, but you never know how toddlers are going to be on any given day.

Our next trip starts on 1/29, so I just posted a new post to see if anyone knows.

If I am understanding your post correctly, then you may or may not be able to do what you describe.

What you describe could be successful, but it might not be. If- when you return - the SAME CM's are stationed at the ride entrance- they probably won't be eager to give your family a second babyswap pass. When last we used rider swap, CM's asked to see BOTH parents AND the baby. So if either one of you returns and asks for a second one, they may recognize you and turn down your request. It may depend on the CM, crowd levels, etc.

In you scenario, two parents and one child, some CM's will question why you need a child swap pass in the first place. I'm not saying this to question your motives, I'm reporting what we experienced when our (extended) family used child swap passes. Some CM's were very reluctant to hand them out at all.

The OTHER downside of having this family split up so much is that it is quite time consuming. Fastpasses are not instant access to the attractions.

In short, I don't miss using rider swap when we don't have a baby in our group. Using it can be better than not using it, especially if the park is very crowded, but waiting around is pretty boring.

Yes you could definitely do this, pending certain CM who may not like it. If I was doing what you are suggesting I would probably only get 1 child swap pass and not bother with the second.
