We are going to WDW in a few days :goodvibes

I have a question regarding how to go about riding the Tower of Terror. My DH, DS(10) and I really want to go back on TT but our twin DSs (one who is autistic) is really scared. In the past we always had a helper that came with us and she stayed with them when we did the ride. This time it's just the 5 of us.

How do we do the ride? One of us will have to stay with them as the other 2 go on and then switch. Do we use Rider swap :confused3 never used it not sure how it works?

The easiest way may be to get Fastpasses for everyone, including at least one of the 2 who won’t be riding. So, you will have 4 or 5 Fastpasses.
Send your DH and the 10 yr old on, using 2 Fastpasses while you stay out with the twins.
When DH and 10 yr old come out, you can go in with your own Fastpass and the 10 yr old can ride again with you, using one of the twin’s Fastpasses.

If you try a Rider Swap, you would have to talk with the CM at the entrance to arrange it (the GAC would not be a factor for this).
This is what it says on the official Disney page about riding:
"Guests with young children may take turns experiencing attractions. See a Cast Member for additional information.”
Link to page about TOT

How it works varies by attraction, but usually you present your whole party to the CM at the entrance and explain you have small children who do not want to ride. The CM will send in the first group to ride and give you a sort of handwritten Fastpass-like thing that the person who waited with the small children would present to ride, along with another member of your party if someone wants to ride a second time.

It should not be that busy when you are going (although, if it’s over President’s Day, there will be some busy days). When DH, DD, a caregiver and I went in October, we got on with no wait at all; in fact, we moved thru the queue so fast we didn’t even have time to see the hotel lobby at all.
