Rider Swap at POTC and Haunted Mansion

Do POTC and Haunted Mansion have a Rider Swap option? I have a 5 year old who is scared of those attractions, but everyone else will want to ride.

Only rides with height minimums have ride swap.

Depending on when you go it might not matter that they don't have it. Both those rides are fast loading and don't have long lines.

If you're going during a peak time though, there might be a longer line.

To find which rides have rider swap is fairly easy. You can look at the list of attractions at DLR and sort them. Here is the whole list.

Thanks for the responses! We'll be there over President's Day weekend, so it will be a bit busier than usual!

I figured it was only height restricted attractions, but thought maybe they could make some sort of accommodation for other situations. We'll wait in line twice if that's the only way, but it would be great to avoid it if we could!

What you may be able to do for POTC is everyone wait in line. Some ride and some stay at the loading area with the 5 yr old. Then when they get off, the ones that waited can ride. Ask the CM in front. They will usually accommodate for this situation or find a way to get a rider swap for you. For HM, the above swap wouldn't work since I think the line is scarier than the ride for most kids, but again ask the CM in front if there was any way to get some sort of swap for the child that doesn't want to ride. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some way for them to accommodate without the group waiting in line twice.

I agree with Shannon, I think they will try and accommodate you. We have done child swap for TSMM before so I know some CMs will try and help you out even on a ride w/o a height restriction.

I watched someone do a swap on Haunted Mansion. They asked for the pass as I was walking in. They got one- no questions asked. This was during HMH if that makes a difference (though I can't imagine it would).

Just ask.
