Rider sawp question

My family and I are headed to dl in less than 3 weeks! On our DCA day I plan to wide right with my oldest to rsr and have my hubby and youngest (who is too short for rsr) to go and get our WOC fp. Will he be able to rider swap after my dd6 and I finish rsr or do we all have to be there before we get on rsr? Hopefully that makes sense! Also, I know there is a thread on here somewhere, but I can't find it, so how far in advance should we get in line for WOC if we have fastpasses?

This is correct...ESPECIALLY IN rSR!! You stand in line together till you get to the ride entrance, show the shorty, lol, then the riders get a lanyard to wear to the front of the line, right before they get on, they give the Rider swap pass.

Other rides are not as strict, but expect it just in case.

No, once you or DH gets the pass (sometimes they don't give the pass until farther up the ride, but you will need to show the entrance CM the "shorty" as noted already) you can go with the other kiddo/s wherever you want, meet up with your DH and kiddo later, and use the pass any time that day. You do not have to ride the ride back-to-back. We really liked this feature as someone inevitably is hungry, needs bathroom stop, or just doesn't want to ride 2x in a row. We think of it as a FP [limited to 2 though]; even more valuable now as there is not a window (except the day) when you can return like regular FP.
They are color coded, so make sure you use it that day!
