RideMax Users Thread (FAQs Linked in First Post!)

Are there any discounts for purchasing Ridemax? Sorry if this has been addressed I just didn't want to read 320 posts and my search came back with this thread!

Thanks!

I don't know of any currently. There was one that was good in January. So they do exist. It was just for $3 off. After using RM, it would still be worth it at double the price. Looking at your upcoming trips, I would suggest the 1 year subscription.

Sorry Katie - we did not do CP or MM.
I have a tip about F!, how to eat, see F! and avoid paying for the dinner pkg, but don't want to hijack this thread .

My apologies for posting a link, but I have been pm'd about this, and can't figure out how to pm back. so no more pms please. Sorry. Anyways - this isn't brilliant or anything, but I did not want to pay the money for the dinner package or spend the time at the restaurant - this worked out great for us. We saved money, saw the show and had a great time. If this helps someone else, then I am happy. If you really want to do the dinner package , I am not being critical or anything - whatever makes you happy at the happiest place on earth. :goodvibes HTH

Great thread by the way!

Just bought RM yesterday and a little scared since it is so different from my original plans. One question (sorry in advance if this has already been asked).
I already have some ADR's for certain EMH morning parks so those are the parks we are going to be visiting, even though RM would disagree. I have tried to change the hour to begin my plan at 8:00am but it won't allow me to change saying that the plan cannot begin before the park opens...but it will be open for WDW resort guests. Is there any way around this? Our dates are 5/13-5/20 Specifically 5/16 at DHS which is listed as an EMH morning.

Just a note for everyone else who has been waiting. June data is now online.

Thanks so much for the update. I'm anxious to get started.

Mickeymom, the ridemax site says it only recognizes EMH at MK so I don't think there is a way around the 9am start at DHS. Perhaps Dave will have some suggestions as he is quite familiar with RM.

This is most likely in the post somewhere, but what is the cost of Ridemax?

EMH days where you are going to RD do throw things off a bunch. What worked for me was to study non EMH plans for a close day. This gave me an idea of what ride times and walking times would be.
I found that RD for an EMH at DHS = RD at DHS on a recommended day. This is only during the EMH period, then the park tends to get busier. This is when we hopped to another park.

My suggestion for an EMH RD at DHS is to:
Get TSM FP following the RM RD tip.
Ride TSM stand by
Ride ToT
Get FP for RnR
By this time you can kick in RideMax and you won't have to put in any of these headliners for the day. Just use the FPs when you are in the area or put in a break for them in the afternoon.

RM for WDW is $18.95 for a 90 day subscription and $29.95 for a 1 year subscription.

RM for DL is $14.95 for a 90 day subscription and $24.95 for a 1 year subscription.

How do you (or can you) incorporate park hopping into RideMax?

For my trip in March, I park hopped all over the place.:goodvibes

I just made different plans. For instance, I did one plan for AK in the morning until 1:30pm, then did another plan for DHS, starting at 3pm, giving me enough time to park hop.

Great, thanks for the info, it seems it would be worth it if one is going at a busy time

You'll need to do a plan for each park. When setting your options you can specify what time you arrive and what time you'll get in line for your last attraction.

So for example, let's assume you want to do MK in the morning and Epcot at night.

I would do a plan for MK, arrive at 9am (or whatever time is opening) and specify get in line for last attraction at 1pm. Pick my attractions etc.. and generate my plan.

Then I would do a plan for Epcot, arriving at 5pm (after a long restful nap :goodvibes ) with my last attraction at 8:30.

Hope that makes sense??

We did character meals and table service, so if you want to know how much time to plan for something in particular (like a buffet) let me know. We also waited to see the fairies. Again, put it in the plan - no problem.

What was your plan of attack with the fairies??? During our trip in early March, it was ridiculously long to get in (70+) on two days at 10:00 when TT opened. I would love to know how/when you did it and how much time you allowed for your "fairy break"! Thanks... :wizard:

Sorry, just found this thread. How do you subscribe to ridemax and I will not be taking a laptop to disney with me so can I just print out schedules to take?

I suggest that you subscribe not sooner then 2 months from your departure dates. RideMax only has the calendars up for a 2-3 months. June just came up with in the last day or so.

No need to take your lappy with you. Just print out the plans and take those with you. I suggest in the early stages that you just print them out to PDF using something like CutePDF. Then when you run your final plans just before you leave print them to paper.

But if your totally OCD you will do like myself and copy and paste the information into Excel spread sheets that are formatted to fit a daytimer. :rotfl2:
