Are there any ride restrictions specific to guests with epilepsy? My 18yr old nephew is supposed to be coming to WDW w/ us in September. Right now he is in the hospital and chances are he may be diagnosed as having epilepsy.

This was going to be his first trip to Disney and we are hoping he can still come with us.

Most of our trip is going to be spent at the resorts poolside but we were planning a surpise day at a park or two at the end of our trip. If he can't do rides than we may rethink the surprise for him and our DK's.

Thank you for any information.

Missy

You may want to check on the DISabilities Board for this one. Disney does not have specific ride restrictions regarding epilepsy, but folks on that board will be able to give you info on the rides your nephew may end up being more sensitive to based on his condition.

Hi, my partner has mild epilepsy, he goes on all the rides in WDW without any problems. Although, I should point he does cover or close his eyes during any ride sequences that have rapid flashing lights. Never been a problem.

RickinNYC....that's great to hear. Looks like you will be in the world during the same time frame as us...have a great trip!
