Ride lockers at IOA and Universal

Thx - at Disney I wear them right up until the ride starts and then throw them in my little cross body bag but from what I am reading here, universal doesn't allow a crossbody bag on the rides. I guess I'll have to look into getting a strap for them.

I would.A Woman next to me on The Mummy lost her glasses on the ride

It was mentioned that the lockers are free for the first thirty minutes. During busy times (I'll be going in mid June) is the free time period on the lockers extended? If not, what is the cost after thirty minutes?

Thanks!

The locker times are adjusted depending on the length of the queue. However, if you leave the ride without retrieving your belongings and return later, you'll have to pay the fee. It's $3 for each additional half hour.

As new "converts" we were surprised by the free lockers , and came to appreciate them...yes the ones at FJ get busy, but it is a great thing that you can use them for free...

Can you imagine Disney having free lockers?

" im sorry ma'am, but your stroller and ecv will not fit into the locker........"

One ride at Disneyland, Grizzly River Run (OK fine it's at California Adventure), has the same sort of lockers. It's fabulous. :)

What about regular eyeglasses? Do I need to put them in a locker? I can't see without them!

I'm looking at ride photos and thinking back...I see that I kept them on for Mummy, but since that's a more visual ride I want to have them on. They didn't slip, even though the arms of them are weirdly loose. I left them on for Forbidden Journey. I took them off for RRR and the Hulk (left them with non-riding hubby), and the last trip when I went ton Dragon Challenge, I took them off as I got seated, and had them in a deathgrip in my hand, which was also locked in a deathgrip on the restraint. Obivously I like the Mummy and want to see it, while I hate those other coasters and don't want to see anything.

I remember giving them to DH for Dr Doom, too. My eyes aren't all that bad (they have "lost" the Lasik, but not by much, it's mainly astigmatism right now and they'll be changing to "old age" vision soon enough) and the view was AMAZING, even though I was fairly certain I was about to be squished after falling splat on the ground. (hate that ride, too, but the view was neat) IF you have contacts to wear, consider wearing them for that ride.
