Ride Closures/Rehabs Mid November/Early December

Planning a trip from Australia next year (2024) and wondering if anyone knows if there are any usual ride rehabs around the Nov/Dec time. We have visited WDW several times in January and Splash Mountain is always closed for refurb at that time and I was wondering if DL & DCA have regular rehabs like that or are they just random. I know Splash Mountain is closed and probably won't be open by our visit but when we were there 2 years ago Pirates was down and we were soooo disappointed as its our favourite ride. Any clues would be great. Thanks.

Redwood Creek Challenge Trail usually is closed for the first 2 weeks in November to remove the Villians Grove. Monsters Inc. sometimes goes down in November..Last year in 2022 it was down for 2 1/2 weeks.
Indiana Jones Adventure was down for 3 days in the middle of November 2022.

Christmas Time/High Season: Dec. 20 through January 1st..there are hardly any refurbishments. Most of the Inagineers/technical staff are not available because of vacations/holidays and the crowds are high anyway.

Ill look into this more for you and get back.

In early November, its a Small World will be closed for the refurb to its a Small Holiday and does not open until HOliday Time. Usually around Nov. 9th it opens.

Thanks so much for the info. We are debating which week to go. Most likely it will be the week between Veterans Day and Thanksgiving OR the week after Thanksgiving. Hoping that these might be sweet spots to avoid as many crowds as possible but still enjoy the Christmas festivities. Hopefully that would mean that Small World will be open, I love that ride and would really like to see the Christmas overlay. Not too fussed about Redwood Creek or Monsters Inc but would hope Indie's ride was open. We will be there for 6 days so hopefully if it went down for a couple of days we could still catch it. Thanks again for your input.

Awesome thanks Joseph821 your input has helped me in feeling better about our decision to go at the times I have chosen. We were actually last at DL end of April start of May 2022 and it was insane. Suppose to be a quieter time of year but crowds were still high because of pent up demand after Covid and it was the week that the nighttime parade came back so crowds were huge. Still we managed to have a great time so I feel we should be able to cope with the Christmas crowds. Thanks again.

Last year, the week after Thanksgiving was nice. You never know what this year will bring, but it was good last year.

Most likely, Tiana's Bayou Adventure will be open by November 2024, Most likely Holiday time at DL 2024 will start on Friday November 8 2024 and run to Jan. 5 2025.

Thanks for your thoughts. I am going to keep an eye on what happens this year to get a bit of an idea about crowds etc and then I can decide which week. I was so nervous about our trip last time as my daughter and I are on the autism scale and don't cope well with crowds. Last years trip was our first to DL in over ten years. Back then we visited in January and there were absolutely no people around at all, everything was a walk on the whole time we were there. I had been hoping that April last year would be an okay time to visit but it turned out to be a lot busier than we or anyone else expected. Still, armed with a whole lot of advice from these boards (and some great tips from you Mouse Mommy) we had a fantastic trip and we can't wait to get back next year and enjoy all the Christmas decorations and entertainment.

Thanks for your thoughts. I guess one thing to remember is that even though there seem to be a lot of people here on this platform who are going then that isn't the vast majority of the normal public who just don't either access or know about sites like this. Hopefully it is just the diehards and Disboarders who know this is a good time to visit and we'll both be okay. Would love to hear about your experience after your trip. Hope you have a great time.
