Kind of a weird question but I can't seem to find the information I'm looking for.

I'm just wondering if there is a list or chart or something so what rides have historically been down at certain times of the year and also when free dining has been offered in the past.

We're starting to plan our 2016 trip and would like this information to help decide when to go.

Thank you.

Aside from the great link above, I can tell you that we travel that time of year a great deal and I haven't noticed a pattern of refurbs during that season. Aside from the water park/ride refurbs during the colder months, there seems to be no obvious pattern to refurb timing.

Thanks for the help. I was kind of hoping they had a regular maintenance schedule but it doesn't look that way. Thank you again!

We've gone during FD the last 5 years and there is no preset maintenance schedule. It just depends on which attractions need it at the time.

I can say, it's pretty routine to have the stupid crane putting up lights on the castle during that time. Can't stand having that thing in our family photos. Sorry for the vent... ;)

Just takes a little APS magic:

Yeah, other than a Splash refurb in January (at least, and often longer) almost every year there is no such thing.

You're right. It's a hassle, but I've done it.

Walking into MK and seeing that crane extending up right next to the castle... it just takes something away. We were fortunate our first Sept visit, 2010. No crane. Our second visit it showed up (and every one after), and I was like, what the...

I wish they would spend the $$$ to have the Christmas lights installed and removed outside of park hours.
