My mother-in-law just told me that there is an attraction in WDW that is closed indefinatley because someone was either hurt or killed this past week on it. I haven't heard of anything, can someone tell me if this is true?

Also heard that the Carousel of Progress is closed until 2005....this is DD's favorite ride! Please tell me it's not true!

Just checked Mouse Planet on both of your questions. Nothing is mentioned there about anyone getting hurt or killed on a ride at WDW, so I think that is simply a rumor. As far as the Carousel of Progress, MP state that it will remain open until construction is completed on Stitch's Great Escape, then will close for rehab.

I do know someone was killed on a coater at Six Flags New England a month or so ago. I bet that is what she means. People get the theme parks confused all the time. They just don't know what WE know!:D

I am a CM at MK... COP will remain open until Stitches Great Escape opens then it will go back to being a seasonal attraction.

As far as your other question that is NOT true. We have not had any accidents at WDW recently. There is no ride closing due to a injury/fatality, total rumor.

Something like that would of been all over these boards. Half the time it's heard here before you can hear it in the news.

I don't know if this what you're refering to but at Disney CA they had a death un BTMR and it was closed down for inspection.

I read Orlando Sentinel on line each day and not a word in it about a death or injury at WDW.

A day or two ago there was an accident at a CT park. I believe the boy made it though. He was thrown out of a swing. The operator was under the influence.

At Six Flags a man fell out of his seat and died on the Superman oaster I believe. He was wheelchair bound and there was some? about him being on the ride in the first place.
