Ride Advice for first-timer ride wimps

I didn't go on RRR, it was too intimidating to watch that first "hill". My husband said it was rough and he felt jerked around. I found Dragon Challenge pretty smooth for a roller coaster of its type.

I haven't really heard many other people complain about RRR; though, so maybe it is just me. Has anyone else had any issues with RRR being jerky and kind of roughing you up? It was not a pleasant experience. It didn't really make me nauseated, it just gave me a very bad headache from throwing me around so much.

I've heard MANY complaints about it - the ride is often called "Rough Ride Rocket" on this board & many others! If I end up deciding not to ride RRR it will be because of these issues, especially from people who have ridden it shortly before our trip.

In general, it sounds like there's something wrong with the wheels. Universal has apparently tried to replace them - some people claim to have ridden "refurbished" cars and had very smooth rides, while others claim they got an "old" car and were thrown around like you were.

FWIW, I'm seeing more reports that the Hulk is finally facing some similar problems, but there are still 3x as many reports of bad cars on RRR as on the Hulk.
