(Can't turn your backside on these Canadians for a second! NOT ONE SECOND!!!)

Diane - gotta love that skunk smell. Reminds me of a story from college: I borrowed my sorority sister's car and went to eat w/ another sister. When we were heading home, we passed a dead skunk and the smell suddenly became the new scent in her car. Needless to say, we never told her and quickly handed back her keys.
One of our best skunk stories was when our DD was working at ValleyFair, a local amusement park. She usually worked past midnight, and one night DH went to pick her up and she jumped in our new van smelling VERY strongly of skunk! She had gotten sprayed by one as she was walking back to the parking lot. They made it home with the windows open, and he made her leave everything out on the porch that night. He thought we could just dispose of the clothes and shoes in the morning, but it rained overnight. Believe it or not...the rain took away the smell, even on the shoes!!! Talk about acid rain!!

We city slickers do smell skunk occasionally. We did have one that camped outside our bedroom window on occasion......yuck!

When I first looked at that picture, OK, I thought it was bellows to revive Pinocchio after being "vamped"! Tweezers! Tweezers!

OUCH!

Now this is an interesting innuendo day on the riddle! :o :o :o

Glad to see I got pants on my first try. I've got to get moving soon and get Leah off to day camp, and then I'm heading into work.

I remember being a safety patrol member in 6th grade. We had the bright orange belts to wear.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning all! I am a little sleepy here today but I'll blame it on all the rain we've been having lately!

I must say I love this riddle this morning. Such a fun one :) And the breakfast spot looks wonderful! I think I might high tail it out of here and spend my day there in that wonderful bedroom instead :teeth:

I think John is just tired today or something so he can't think of any witty comments to say aobut the riddle :p

Deb, congratulations to your DD!!! And how cool that Adam Sandler was there for a speech too!!

Ewww a dead skunk?? That would fall under the department of things my DH would take care of :o

Gail, congrats to Matt and his new postition on the Jr. Police. Very cool! I did that once in 5th grade and I admit, I had fun :) My belts were the day glo orange (very similar to what Bernie posted) and they didn't bother folding them... just hung them up daily. I moved schools before 6th grade (when they let you really do it permanently) so I only had a week of that.

Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain....

Thanks, Diane! :)

Good rainy :p morning, riddlers. I'm off and running. Poor DD is out in the rain all day at our local Children's Festival! (now that's one reason not to do field trips :teeth:!

Send my answer, but I needed the clues to get it. Luckily, another teacher and I had been talking about Ralph and Alice yesterday with one of the 6 year olds. He was about to fly-but not over the rainbow! ;)

Oh, and Bernie. Dead skunk featured on one of the early M*A*S*H* shows!

Have a great day.

Even through the rain, the sunshine of friends is felt with the smile on our faces. (Now that would make a good tag! :) )

This curtain reminds me of the song...
"fly me to the moon, and let me play among the stars..."

My little guy has told me he doesn't want to be a monitor....day glo belt or not.

HE'D RATHER PLAY KICKBALL AT RECESS!

(Ah, well....)

Congrats to your son, Gail!

I have one of those dreaded eye appointments today where they dilate and you can't stand the light or sun afterwards! I doubt I will be able to DIS when I return. There will be no way I will be able to focus on this screen!

Just for you Diane!

That's a dangerous comment, OK! That's one crack we don't need to see!

LOL! You guys are "cracking" ;) me up today!

I'm back. My mom did have a full blockage. They used the expansion (balloon process) to open it up. They also ended up doing another procedure to look at her heart more closely because they found out she has a birth defect that causes her heart to have the one of the arterys in the wrong spot... potentially could cause some problems if it came between the heart and the pulmonary artery..(compression that could cause a fatal heart attack). After looking at it though they determined she was one of the rare exceptions for people with this birth defect... and the artery goes AROUND the problem area. Whew! She is doing well and recovering nicely.

I have an idea on the riddle. Guess I should PM Bernie with it. Funny how he does not read minds. :p

Great news Laura!

Methinks Bernie doesn't read minds but has a dirty one:eek:    ;)

(GMTA Bernie;) ;) )
