Good Morning OK and the Corral

None of us will be going anywhere today, and tomorrow doesn't look good either. I can't measure how much snow we got because of the drifting. I am guessing 18 inches. It is up to the bench on the picnic table but there is no snow on the top of the table because it all blew off. It has been snowing since 7 AM Sunday. Now has turned to sleet. DH goes out every few hours to make a path out the driveway to the road and to uncover the cars, which we left close to the road instead of in the garage. He also digs a path for the dogs to go out and, well, do their business.

The governor has closed all of the state roads to anyone but essential workers. I don't think I am essential. Apparently every newscaster in Baltimore is though. The TV has all snow coverage, all the time.

I don't have this riddle solved but will have ALLLLL day to work on it.

Ahhh, thanks Gina.

I drive to people homes. If we aren't plowed and dug out, I am sure they aren't either. The last time we had a big storm, it was days before some of the side roads were plowed. I don't see school opening for a few days.

Kara is out with the snowblower already - she is becoming a pro with it

My mom's hot water heater went out over the weekend - she is on the list now - a replacement will come some time this week - the plumber said maybe towards the end of the week

No, howling! I am still clueless, but at work, so I have time to tink about it, in between all the attendance issues, phone calls, vendors, the usualy.

Bernie, I do like the idea of the Star Trek transporter. I could beam me to WDW, Vegas, Aruba, ahhhh, just thinking about the beach................

Forecasts expect NY area to get 12-18" today.

Well I have to admit - the snowblower is an electric one - so as long as the extension cord holds out - she is blowing up a storm here

I was teasing her yesterday that friends wanted her to bring the blower over and help - she said SURE -

Was watching a neighbor trying to get her car out of the driveway - she got the car as far as the street - got back into the driveway and went back inside

Glad I am not going anywhere today - cos I would be pantless since I am still so clueless

Think I would transport us to a warm sunny island in the Pacific - or to the west coast about now

House purchase is still "pending".
I signed the sales contract on Fri. and had "hopes"
that the seller would stop by Fri. afternoon and
sign it too.
But she's taking her time on the whole thing, hoping
I suppose for a higher bid.
It makes me a little angry but what can you do.
I mean, it's already been 2 wks and she hasn't really
made a good-faith attempt to move things along.
.... no more whining ... I promise

Either way, something will be final by the end of this week.

Staring out at driving snow right now ... hoping all you cold
weather riddlers are safe and warm today.
For us here it does mean a state of emergency.
