I'll be driving. Looks to be about 475 miles. I would like to get there for dinner Friday but I don't know if that is possible. DH and I are going to work Thursday. We may leave VERY early Friday or I may look at finding a cheap room part way there for Thursday night. Maybe Laura K. would like 4 overnight guests. LOL

Looks like it is 761 miles from here...think I'll be looking at airfares....
DH doesn't do well long distance driving....he falls asleep...which means I do the driving......

Carol, come on over! Actually, we hope to be leaving Thursday after work, so as long as you let the dog out, feed the hamster and feed the fish, you can stay at the LK Chalet. Our house rental fee is only $69.95 on our internet special, but rooms are limited at this rate. Book now, because rooms are going fast. Lots of crazy people have booked over the last few days, and all have mentioned something about a wild pool party?

I always arrive late to the Riddle thread in the morning also. I have solved one of the clues, but the main one has me stumped so far.

Oh & Boo'sMom, we're driving in Thursday night. Takes like 4 to 5 hours unless we use helenabear as a chauffeur, then it would only take like 3 hours

We have been driving that direction for so many years, it seems wrong to fly! We lived in Utica NY for 4 years, so commuted "home" for vacations. The past 26 years we have been driving out to Philadelphia each October for dog shows. The vehicle just seems to follow the road east without help!

I made it to work and DS headed off happily for school.....let's hope I don't get the dreaded "call from the nurse"!!!

I'm still stumped by the riddle but I haven't really tried yet....I'm going back through some of the clues now.

About 390 miles for me....We're driving and hauling the pop-up, so it'll be a nice leisurely drive for us.

Sis - we were originally going to leave Thursday night and drive part-way there and arrive Friday morning. Now though, I just want to get there for the dinner and the POOL PARTY!

Boo'sMom - that sleeping thing really messes up one's driving record...

Sis - I was just reading the chat thread...is it broken??? Cheesh - I hope he's okay. One of my brothers was like that. He was just so active that he was always getting himself scraped, nicked and broken....

LTM - the riddle, and the pats, are just an excuse to get together in the morning....always have been!

Laura - how many rooms do you have available at that rate???? I betcha you could sell out completely!!!

Diane - would you drive 4 hrs straight through or break it up into two days???

Bernie, you missed a 1 in the tens place in the drive time for Diane. Looks like she can't make a 4 hour drive in one day. LOL

I am going to have to plot our route and see if there is a good, cheap stopping point midway.

Oh, Laura, your rates are too high. All the Days Inns in that area are about $50. Do you have special ammenities?

I need to get to work. I will check back later. Hopefully with some news about DD's BF.

Well, maybe for the dog. She made a meal out of one of the hamsters a few days ago. I posted a thread about it earlier. Thanks for bringing back those terrible, terrible memories. **sniff, sniff**
