Good morning Riddlers.
I'm having a lousy day. Our cat, Pandora, had been sick lately. I took her to the vet a few weeks ago and he ran some te$sts and decided it was a urinary tract infection.
This week she was just not feeling well. She normally sleeps against me in the bed, but was sleeping on the floor on my side instead. She was throwing up and lethargic, so I took her back yesterday morning.
X-Rays showed that she had a foreign object (probably a hair ribbon) in her intestines, and although I do not need to spend the 4 digit vet bill for the surgery, what else could I do?
He called to tell me the surgery was successful but before he closed her up he looked around and noticed she had a great deal of pancreatic cancer!
On his reccomendation, I allowed him to put her to sleep
I've had Pandora for over 10 years, and she was the most social and loving cat I've ever owned.
I'm upset about losing her; upset she was hurting anyway, and upset that it cost $1000 to do surgery and then wind up putting her down anyway.
