Thanks to everyone who gave me clues for yesterdays riddle, unfortunately I forgot to send in my PM before I went shopping so of course I was too late, even for 'Yesterpants!'... never mind, I've sent in a guess for today so hopefully all balance will soon be restored LOL

If the journal shows up would someone be so kind as to let me know so I can vie (sp?) for it to be sent over here to Jolly Ole' Britain? I'm sure it would enjoy a holiday

Alan, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Pandora. Pets really touch our hearts. I am especially sorry that you had to go through all the trouble of the surgery, expense, etc. to end up with that outcome, anyway.

I am so ready for the weekend! It's baseball season, & my son has double-headers both days so if the weather holds, we'll be living at the baseball field!

Alan - so sorry to hear about Pandora. That is one of the reasons I have been holding off getting a dog. I can't stand to see them suffer and I would get too attached. I probably will get one though since my DD wants one. Animals are so innocent and caring.

Also wanted to say HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the Dad's out there!

Kitty - hope you win a bunch at Vegas!

My wife spoke to the vet and he is not charging us for the euthenasia (sp?) or disposal so we are only paying between $800 - $900 for my cat I will never see again.

If you would like to get a dog but fear of losing it in its old age, you could always sign up to be a puppy raiser for a guide dog or other service animal school.

We have friends who have raised several dogs, but you must realize at the onset that you will give them up after appox. 1 year.

And working with them will give you an intense bond, but it is still rewarding and challenging.

We raised a lab puppy several years back (before children). My wife is a guide dog user and there is a BIG difference between the finished product and the raw material!
