Thanks to you too Elaine! Somehow, I missed you're post! Must be my old age eyes catching up with me....I'm still trying to "resist" the need for progressive lenses!!!!!
Glad to hear you got to see Scott Hamilton ice skate! Isn't he GREAT? Was his new wife in the audience?
Hope all those still not feeling well feel better soon. My hubby is off to the Dr this afternoon...he has a cold he just can't shake...so he's gonna see if they can maybe give him something to knock it out of him...he's been living on Dayquill and Nyquill!!
Just a quick hello to everyone before I have to run and get ready for work. Both kids are still sick. I took them to the Dr. this morning and DD has a sinus infection but DS just has a virus of some sort. So she's on amoxicillan and he just has to tough it out.
Happy Birthday LTM! Glad to hear that you had a good time in the city.
Congrats to Matt and the Lightning!
Good luck with the weigh ins this week! I serve spaghetti squash occasionally instead of regular pasta. The first time I did it nobody knew what it was, so they all kind of liked it.
I'd love to see Scott Hamilton live sometime. He's always so much fun to watch.
Miss Elizabeth is much improved and now slogging through the work she missed today at school. Sorry your kids are still feeling punk Baboo. I've lost track of the others...hope everyone else is on the mend.
A chuckle to share. DS is 11 and a big survivor fan. He's been trying to think of locations for future shows and come up with suggestions such as Canada, Russia, Alaska. I'm not quite ready to prime his pre-adolescent hormones with the explanation that those locations will never work because everyone would be wearing too many clothes!!!!
Pretty dull day around here so far! It's too cold to be out, so I just stayed home all day.
I made a pot of chili for dinner & DS has his final hockey practice of the year tonight at 7:30.
I should be around tonight.....how about everyone else?
Cute Survivor story Gail. My kids keep suggesing a cold location too.
I'll be popping in this evening. DH is working.....I'm still helping EB with homework.....and have a counter full of dishes because I cooked since I was home today too.
DS wants me to watch Fear Factor......I don't like that show - yuck!
Gina, I am SOOOO cold. I just want to climb in my nice warm waterbed. Of course, then I couldn't DIS.
DD and DS are at band practice and DH went to his office. I am sitting here trying not to eat junk food. Will probably watch "Everybody Loves Raymond" tonight and then go to bed.
DH & I have watched Survivor from the beginning.....the kids have joined in with subsequent shows. Without sounding like a prude...and also because DS is getting older.....it seems like each new segment is more focused on what is or isn't happening between the men and women.....or levels of undress.....than the last one. We've basically told them that if something is inappropriate we'll turn it off or mute the sound....and we're doing it more often. I like watching the show with the kids and it does give good examples of how to work as a team and to deal with different personalities.
I caught the second episode of this round of Survivor. That's hoops night for me, so I don't get a chance to see it very often. We've got a couple of VCRs, but I never think to tape it. Honestly though - I enjoy it when I watch it, but I'm not much for watching network TV these days at all.....
Gina - I hope Matt is okay. Katie seems to have made a full recovery tonight. She's eating jello and ice cream and starting to bounce around again.
Gail - glad to hear Elizabeth is feeling fine!
Baboo!! Isn't it terrible when both of them are feeling poorly?? Hugs and PD to them...
There was a series of threads a while back about surviror...Survivor Disney World! Hold in during the busy times, with immunity chalenges including riding EVERY MK attraction in one day without fastpass, travelling from Animal Kingdon Lodge to Fort Wilderness, and perhaps a Drink Around the World competition!!!
Evening all! So sorry to hear so many of those poor kids still sick I really do hope everyone is feeling better soon!
Glad to hear that Elizabeth is feeling better Gail
I had a long day at work today so I t hink I am going to veg out tonight. I did find some good news though. I found two vouchers for Northwest Airlines for $35 off roundtrip air. So I might be able to convince my DH to go with me since we could get air for about $170 now
I have hiccups badly... anyone know how to get rid of them??
