Hi guys!

Just wondering how far in advance the Richard Petty Driving Experience needs to be booked? We leave 90 days from today :Pinkbounc ...will DH still be able to get in or should we have booked it long ago? Also, is there an official website for RPDE to take a closer look at what is involved?

Thanks!!

Don't know for sure, but I booked mine in Nov. for our trip this week! DH doing the rookie experience, keeping our fingers crossed for dry weather that day. I'll post a review when we return.

:D

I suprised my DH with RPDE for a wedding gift on our honeymoon, and I believe I booked it 2-3 months in advance..... i think. It depends on if HE wants to actually drive the car himself or just drive with someone(which is what my DH did) If you want to drive yourself, you have to take a class and all....i think it is 3 hours long<not the class, the whole DE>

It just so happens that I called Richard Petty with this exact question 2 days ago! We're going at the end of May. She recommended at least a few weeks in advance (I was asking about the Rookie experience, different ones may have different recommendations). I didn't know this, but they do the experience every day except Tues. and Thurs., at 8:00 and 1:00 for the Rookie experience (3 hour one). If it rains, they try to rebook you that week, if that doesn't work, they give you a voucher good for a year and good at any RP Driving Experience place (and there are many!). DH is planning on 8:00, less chance of rain then and less hot then.
