Richard Petty experience??

I read about this somewhere, but I can't find any information on it. Can someone please let me know about the Richard Petty experience. I know DH would love to do this and I would like to surprise him!

I can tell you a few things. There's a ride-along experience, where you ride with a Professional Driver. I forget how many laps, but you don't need to make reservations, and it's $99. The least expensive where you drive yourself is the Rookie Experience (which DH did)-$375 or so. It's offered on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and you have to make reservations, a few weeks in advance is more than enough time. That's 8 laps. From there, I think the prices go up to about $750 and then $1200. Don't know what those are. Oh, yes-also the Rookie Experience lasts for about 3 hours total, classroom time, instruction, driving, and "graduation".

If you book by 9/15 and schedule it before the end of the year, the Rookie Experience is $199. That's the lowest price I've seen. Their website is www.1800BEPETTY.com but it does not have the special listed. You have to call and ask for it and you need to be polite but persistant because some have booked it with no problems but other have had to call back and speak with a different person.

It's a little more than I was hoping to spend, but I think DH will really enjoy the experience!
