Richard Petty Driving Experience

Hi, I am new here and this looks like a great site. Going down April 9-17 and staying at the Polynesian for the 1st time. My Birthday is the 9th and my daughter's is the 14th. I hear we should let them know there are 2 Birthdays in our group. Figured you only live once so go for it! Has anyone done the Richard Petty Driving Experience at WDW? If so, what was it like?

Yes ... do let people know it's your birthday. Stop at Guest Relations when you get to the parks and ask for "Happy Birthday" buttons. Wear them all day, and pretty much everyone you meet will wish you Happy Birthday. (It can, however, get annoying after a while ... )

As for Richard Petty -- I've never been, but friends of mine have, and they've LOVED it. My friend went as a rider and her dad drove. The driving challenge takes more time, since you have a class and some safety stuff to go through, but he said it was more than worth it. He's a NASCAR fan from way back, so the chance to drive that fast around a track was IT for him. If you love car racing, I hear it's definitely worth the price!
