I'm kind of bummed I'm going to miss the meet and the race. DF and I will be there the week before but we're leaving Saturday morning. If anyone is around on Friday, I will drop by and say hello :)

Depending on where it's held we may be able to attend. We are doing the KTTK tour on Saturday and I've read you are on your feet all day.

This is towards the end of our trip so I'm sure talking to other people will be a welcomed addition to our trip. :thumbsup2

Is this the tour of the MK or EP, MK and HS??? We did the tour that went to EP, MK, and HS...and it was great fun! You are on you feet a lot, but it's really not that bad... You are on the bus a lot too... No matter which one, hope you guys have a great time!

I vote for somewhere I have a nice "night before the race" meal. After working out an itinerary yesterday, it appears I'm going to the MK that day so I can meet wherever.

Has anyone thought about a food court? Maybe the All Star Sports food court? I know it's on the list as one of the recommended lodging places, but not sure how many folks are staying there...

Just let me know when and where and I'll try to make it...

I'm this close | | to signing up for the race. If so, we might be able to meet up with everyone.

Pat, airfare from LIT to MCO is ~$350/pp for us. However, flying into Tampa is a lot cheaper. Could you do that by chance?

Stacie,

It's just the tour in the MK. It's like 5 hours and I've heard you are on your feet the whole time. No matter we will do our best to get to a meet.

That's a great idea Susie, but I don't drive outside of my comfort zone, and Tampa to Orlando is definitely outside! You should go for it though - last chance at that medal is hard to pass up.

Tampa's about 50 miles north of me. I could help you out with that ;)

That's cool. I'm sure you will get to see more stuff than we did. We had a great time on our tour! You get to see the utilidoors and we had a great viewing of the parade! Our guide was awesome. Hope you have loads of fun!

Big River is a fun place. We had a private party that Linda and I hosted there for 50 the night after the marathon this year. Great food and beer!

Oh boy! Guess who just registered? Yep, I did. It will be a quick trip, Friday to Sunday, but I'll have the chance to get that cool medal. You guys are such enablers!!

Yea!! Pat my corral buddy with be there!!!
Whooo hoooo!!

Tracy

Thanks Tracy! I am really excited about this unexpected bonus trip.

Was a decision made about the Saturday meet? I'd prefer something in the Boardwalk area since I will probably be at MGM during the day - maybe Big River Grille or ESPN....or how about meeting outside the Boardwalk Bakery? They have a nice outdoor seating area, and the water makes a nice meet photo background. Then if people want a quick bite they can grab deli stuff at the bakery or head to one of the restaurants for a more substantial meal.

Oooooo... I did that tour last year (during Goofy weekend, I think) and really enjoyed it. It was not as much standing as I had feared -- but I'm sure it varies with the tour director. Hope you have a great experience too!

EDIT: No -- last year I did the multipark tour -- the KTTK (MK) tour does have you on your feet alot, but I loved it too! Lots of backstage viewing and insider stuff. Enjoy!!

Man, I would love to see you guys but my flight (Woot for Ding fares!) doesn't get in until 4PM on Saturday (so it would be 5PM or so before I got to the World), then I fly out at o-dark-thirty on Monday morning (Columbus Day). If anyone is hanging around Sunday, though, maybe we can grab a bite somewhere. Or hang out by the pool? Anybody?

If the time you decide to meet on Saturday allows me to come, I'll be there. I suspect an earlier meet time may suit everyone better though. Hopefully I'll see some of you before/during/after the race. (The "picnic" postrace tends to be a zoo -- but at least it means some of you fast folks may still be around when I finish! :goodvibes) I'm so sorry to have missed a chance to share a room with my favorite Pop buddy, Pat. (This time my roomie will be a Disney Dead who was generous enough to offer me a share of her room.) But at least I'll get to see Pat (and many others) at Disneyland in a very short while. WISH reunion! Yay!

I love this!

I'd also love this medal, but alas. I do hope everyone enjoys!

Alright Pat. WTG!!!

Wendy - I have an idea for you. Pay the difference and come in earlier. :rotfl2:
Hope we get to see you during the weekend. Maybe a pre-race meet would be good too?

LA LA LA LA LA! (hands over ears) LA LA LA! Not listening to Pat! LA LA LA LA! LA LA LA! :rolleyes1
