Awww, Pat! Are there any decent airfares during that time? I think Steve and I will sign up for the RftT. By the way, did you ask the Disney lady at Chicago if the EEE is going away as well?

Susie - I asked about EE. She said that it was not going away. She said this will be the last year for RftT & ToT.

I must have weird taste (Like THAT'S news to you guys! ) -- I LOVED the new medal. I'm so excited.

Come to think of it, though... there have only been a couple of medals I've gotten in my lifetime that I didn't care for -- and I have a curtain rod full of medals. (Not bragging -- just proving to you that being slow does NOT prevent you from getting medals!)

Like everyone else in the world, money is an issue this year, so even though I'm driving down for the RFTT and ToT, I'll be spending less time in the parks (no multiday park passes) and eating NO table service meals -- No character meals for me these trips! I'll save those splurges for the January trip -- assuming the budget works out. And I am sorely tempted to stay outside the parks since I'm not parkhopping, but I dug up some roomies so I'll pay a bit more for the convenience of race transportation. I guess the bottom line is that it will be a Disney trip for me with very few Disney perks -- just to keep my expenses down.

Now if there was an NC carpool option...

Any news on how full TOT is? I'm waiting to see how my injuries hold up. We already have a room booked just in case.

I just registered for the RFTT - unfortunately coming over 1000 miles won't work for both it and TOT. Drat! Oh well, at I'm getting one of them before they both disappear.

I don't see any info on how full TOT is - I wonder if they don't start posting that number until it hits 50%? Robert might know....

Yes historically they don't post the Percentage full until it gets to 50%.

So sorry, Stacie, I missed this post. I'm coming back Monday (Columbus Day) from RFTT. Since I originally posted, I got Ding fares of $71 to Orlando. With the fillup on the ol' minivan at $43 right now (and it being a 2-tank trip), it made sense to jump on the Ding fare for RFTT and ToT.

After reading Dave Skywalker's blog about the ToT 5K, though, I so WISH my DS(on) could come with me. He'd have a blast doing the 5K. Bummer. There happens to be a teacher's workday that weekend too. Double bummer.

Which goes to show you oughta look before you Ding. Or something like that.

Does anyone know if the Princess Half Marathon Weekend races fill up this quickly, generally? We're doing the ToT 5K, which is my and my 9 year old dd's first race, and I want to wait until after it's over to consider our options for the Princess Weekend. I'd love to run the half, but think I should do a 5K before getting in over my middle aged head. Plus, I'd have to do the half without my dd.

The Princess did not fill up at all, Disney lowered the number of places to say that it did!!!
You will be OK not booking it until next year if you want to, I signed up 4 weeks before last time, and will not be giving WDW my $$ until next year too.

RFTT will close week before the race(as with ToT) as Disney will shut them down as filling! Marathon has at least another 4-6 weeks.
