Rewards cards???

Can anyone tell me if we can definitely use the Disney Visa rewards card in restaurants, bars and gift shops in the Disney resort hotels? How about DTD, where can it be used or not?

Yes in resort hotels/gift shops.
Yes in restaurants at resorts and in the parks.
Yes in Disney stores at DTD. Honestly, I only have shopped at the "Disney" stores, so it may or may not be accepted at non-Disney stores (used to be a Virgin store and that type of thing, or at say Planet Hollywood). Hopefully someone else can answer that one.
Also, we don't go to the bars, so I can't answer that either, other than we did use it at Big River Grill and that has a bar area, so maybe yes? not sure

If you are staying at a Disney hotel, you can charge everything to your room and then use your rewards card to pay off your room balance.

You can use them anywhere in the parks, I believe at DTD non-disney merchants have the option to or not. I would call and ask first!

I can confirm from experience that the house of blues does take Disney reward points. So that's at least one.

I have been able to use my Disney Rewards Visa card at all the stores and restaurants in both Downtown Disneys(Anaheim and Orlando). You also get discounts, if you show your D23 membership card.

We used ours last trip to take $ off the trip and then use for spending upon arrival. We didn't have any trouble redeeming where we shopped, but we stayed at the bigger stores (Mousegear, Emporium).
