Reward programs

Since I am planning a trip for next year, I have some time to do an online reward program

In you experience, what one or two programs do you get the most bag for your time?

I have never tried any

All suggestions welcome.

Do you do lots of online shopping? I like MyPoints and Ebates for that. If there are certain sites that you shop at a lot, you might want to check http://www.sdrawer.com to see which programs reward for shopping at those places. Ebates only sends out checks quarterly, but it's automatic as long as you've earned at least $5 for the quarter--otherwise it rolls over until you have $5. So far I've earned over $70 from them since I've joined. I've earned closer to $250 through MyPoints since I joined there. I actively been using both programs for a little over a year now.

Lots of people shop through Creation Rewards, but I haven't. I just do the daily clicks and trivia there, so for me it's a slow earner. I haven't cashed out there yet.

I also do PCHPoints, LuckyPoints, and Memolink for the daily clicks, trivia, and emails. I've cashed out at PCHPoints and received my GC in 4 weeks. I've cashed out at LuckyPoints about a month ago, and haven't gotten my GC yet--maybe it's time for an email to them....I've also cashed out at Memolink, but am still waiting for the reward.

You might also want to check out some of the survey sites that have been discussed here. I've been lucky with Greenfield, but others haven't earned as much. I also like MySurvey. The surveys are fewer and further between, but I've earned a good bit from them.

Between Shopping reward programs, survey sites, Disney Visa, and test drives, I've earned almost $1000 this year. Not all of that goes to my Disney fund, but most of it has.

Hands down- mypoints.com is my favorite!

I also do pchpoints, luckypoints, milesource, creationsrewards, clicktothemagic, memolink, pointpool and a bunch of survey sites (pinecone, greenfield,mysurvey etc) but out of everything I love mypoints the best.

I do MyPoints, eBates, CreationsRewards, ClicktotheMagic, LuckyPoints, PCHPoints, Memolink, Milesource and SearchCactus. I start after the kids get on the school bus at 7 am and I'm finished by 8 am. I have a cable modem, so that helps to speed things up.

I start by opening a website that is similar to this rewards board and I get all the trivia answers there as well as the search words for SearchCactus. I then do the programs in pretty much the same order everyday. I have them in a "rewards" file in my favorites and I just go from one to the next. Then I check my email for paid to read emails and any surveys.

I suggest just starting with a couple pay-to-click programs to begin with. Once you're comfortable doing a couple, you can begin adding a few more. Once it becomes a part of your routine, it isn't hard to remember which ones you've done.

I strted early this year by trying them all: My Points, Creations Rewards, Milesource, Click to the Magic, Memolink, Lucky Points, e-rewards, greenfield, Blink and two or three I can't even recall their names.

After 11 months, I decided to keep My Points because in nearly one year I got the most rewards out of it. It is a very reputable company that always replied on time to my inquiries, mailed out my certificates promptly and got me close to 40,000 points in 11 months that I cashed out for $150 in RFC gift certificates, $40 in Red Lobster cert, several thousand for Hilton Honors, $40.00 in webbies, and a knick knack or two from their silver and gold gifts. All you have to do is your regular shopping through them!

Other rewards programs like CR got me $90 in Disney money, but the points take so long with those programs that I got discouraged and dumped them I have close to 1000 pts in CTTM but can't figure out what to do with those...I want a quicker source of money and rewards.

Surveys... e-rewards got me 3000 pts in Hilton Honors, that I see as a longer term program to stick around in. Greenfield's first check never arrived, teh people ignored my e-mails and it is frustrating to take lengthy surveys for a mere $1. Vividence is definitely my favorite, I've earned a few Amazon $10 gift certificates and those are always very well received.

So, my bottomline is this: I am a My Points die hard user because the rewards are hefty and nice. Customer service is good as well. Vividene gives me practical rewards. So those are at the top of my recommendation list

I'm in the process of finishing adding $5.00 redemptions which will go for 1100 Magic Points, so that is a plus for members who wish to cash out sooner!

I like mysurvey.com which gives you points for surveys that you can convert to cash. The survey's don't take too long and they send the money pretty quickly. Also Harrispoll Online has points that add up to cash. They sent my check within a week of me cashing out. Reward TV is fun if you watch the shows, but now you pretty much have to participate in auctions to get awards and it's hard to compete with some of the points out there. I usually only play the games of the shows I watch so I take a bit longer to add up my points. If you have kids, kidzeyes.com gives points that can be turned to cash. They pay pretty quickly when you cash out.

In all honesty, I only use my yahoo e-mail, dedicated to get lots of junk, and NEVER my personal informatino unless I know I am getting something for sure.

For example, I use My Points often for purchases, promos, etc. But I only receive my rewards in the mail. But I do not always use my personal address just anywhere I sign in, unless I am sure it is a reputable site with a their privacy policy that restricts sharing my information.

I only use my personal information at My Points and Vividence. The survey stuff is a hype in most sites. They can be extensive and most reward you only with "chances of winning $10, $50"... And if your luck is anything like mine, you know you'll just spend several minutes filling out surveys and never seeing a penny. So I only do those that guarantee a pay if you complete the survey, but not for $1.00!! Those freaking things can get long...

I did the click here and tehre for a point or three, but did not like them... Take way too long to get anything.

GET AD_AWARE!!! That is my biggest advice. You'll get spyware and need to clean your computer daily. I often have to do mine twice a day. Most times the spyware is not dangerous but I have downloaded "high risk" folders too, so take no chances!

So, my bottomline is, just participate in the programs where you will get rewards out of doing what you'd need to do anyway.

Aurora, I really like mysurvey.com. I just cashed out for $20 & got my check in about 2 weeks! I do a few other survey sites, but not as regularly because, like Tree posted, there's no reward guarantee. I've also found that the more I do Synovate, the more I get back (ie. little goodies, samples to test, etc).
