I chased two of the little snots out of the back yard a couple of weeks ago...pretty bad when you get out of your car in your own front yard and smell wacky weed....they were in the lot behind my house...

I think it is time that I put the bats by the front door again. I have a really cool fungo bat that does serious damage to softballs.....

Yeah, got a call from my son last night (the one living in Auburn). They were broke into. Got the Xbox and a laptop. I'm glad that's all they got actually. We just delivered down there a good TV, DVD player, surround sound, TiVo and other assorted electronics.

(Jen, the place is on Burton Street. Does this happen a lot in that area??)

Jen, Denise, and Carol.... that just plain stinks! I hate that people steal things instead of working for what they want. I like the bat idea. :thumbsup2

Jen, Denise and Carol- that really stinks.

Denise- we stopped using the valet parking in AC after they took my dads car for a joy ride- Self Park all the way! Not that its any safer- but at least you're not leaving your keys with them!

Al- I like your way of thinking...could've used it a few years back-

Teenagers who are bored are major trouble! At our old house in NJ we had a few "bad seeds" with nothing better to do that always used to destroy our decorations we put up and even egged the house/cars one night (and ont on mischief night) I drew the line when they went in our fenced back yard and puppy napped my dog- he was a sweet black lab mix. I called the cops on that one- the dog was mysteriously returned several hours later but was extremely scared and skittish after that. I don't know what they did to my poor baby, but I was livid. Of course, the parents had nothing to say and did nothing about it... I know if the cops ever bring one of my boys home for anything- they will have a major wake up call!

If the street is near the tracks, then the worse the economy the more people will roam across the tracks to get more cash to support themselves...sad really...

What I cant stand is that someone can break into my house and attack me yet I get treated like I'm the one in the wrong... like its my fault that someone decided to come into my house....

Look,, if you didn't have stuff that they wanted , then they wouldn't break into your house, right ? So it must be your fault.

Look, if you don't want guns around the house, then you should arm yourself with a fish'n pole,,keep it habdy inna corner, easy to get too. You can whip the liv'n hel,,,uh,,whip the crap outta someone with a fishn pole. And when they aren't break'n into your house, you can use it to fish. :thumbsup2

These poor children are the victims of society. What we need are higher taxes to pay for more child care and after school programs. If that doesn't work, it just means we need more money to fund more of these programs. And on and on and on.......

I need an armed gaurd to hang out at my house so I actually feel safe again... its horrible not being comfortalbe in my own home :sad1:

Well....this just about sums up things for us right now....
Insert "Publix" where Clark's talking about his boss and you'll get the idea.

After interviewing almost 3 weeks ago for a position with Publix Corporate, my DH received a flipping e-mail from Publix stating... "we have pursued another candidate for the position."

Okay,,,,hmmmmm,,,, I would LOVE to know the AGE of the candidate they are pursuing, and how much EXPERIENCE they have in telephony. However, this information will never be divulged and even if it were, they would never state that AGE was a factor. That would be....what's the word.... oh yeah.... DISCRIMINATORY!!

I'm ready to just say...."screw it", quit paying my bills, take advantage of every single credit card offer I get and run them up while I travel the country in my RV with no intention of paying for the cards. Then when the party's over, drink myself to death and go out having a great time. Sounds like the "American Way" to me.

I'm just sick of everything right now. In particular, I'm sick of my DH getting turned down for every decent job he applies for. He's more than qualified and has the education and required certifications, so what's left holding him back other than he's 55??

Oh yeah.... due to heavy cloud cover on the horizon, I didn't even get to see the darn shuttle launch, either. What a "perfect" day! Where's the tylenol?
