I am going to be reviewing each of the DVC resorts. I can't post the full text of the review here, so here is a link to the first of many reviews...
Old Key West Review

I will have images of the floorplans, and a lot of information that DVC'ers, or Future DVC'ers may like to read.

Has anyone gotten the opportunity to confirm if the DVC resorts actually have FREE wired internet in the rooms? The DVC site stated something to that effect a while ago, but haven't gone back yet to confirm this for myself?

Yes, for members staying on points.

You have a number of errors on your site that should be corrected. You may need to get a little more knowledge about DVC before you attempt to set up this site for real.

I have consulted with quite a few people that are also DVC...
They find what I put in quite accurate...

Has anyone eaten at the Pepper Market? What are your impressions?

I have just done a review on the Pepper Market.

I will be staying in Disney in April. I will be at Fort Wilderness, and Old Key West. I will post about all the new things going on after going.

I only read the OKW review - there is NO wifi at the resorts, I have been told "welcome home" at the non-dvc resorts, and OKW is probably the least popular (due in part to the high # of rooms there - OKW & SSR are the last to fill up).

Other than that your information is good. The language/narrative isn't very professional, but the time you've put into the project is appreciated. It's a great start!

I never in the last 20 years heard anyone say Welcome Home to me, or my family prior to becoming DVC.

My family has been in DVC within 3 years of them starting it. We have learned a lot, and keep learning more. The things I post are experiences, and my viewpoint.

I stay at DVC 2-3 times a year, and my family stays 2-3 times a year... OKW is one of the more popular as far as I know, and as far as I have seen when doing my bookings. 5 out of 10 times we have to wait list, or stay elsewhere.

I am not sure by what you mean...language / narrative... I thought everything was good, but honest criticism is appreciated. Let me know what you are referring to... Don't forget... These are my opinions...

Thank you for reading. I appreciate the help.

BTW... There is WIFI in the lobby. That is what I am referring to... I was informed by a DVC person that they are going to try to add wifi to the rooms, but I highly doubt they will. It would be more agreeable for people, as they could sit by the pool, and roam a bit more with wifi. Also, the cost of the repairs to the network lines, and equipment would drastically decrease. Just an opinion.

I agree with all of the above. I did read OP where you said you were referring to Wifi in the lobby, but you may want to add that it is only wired net access in the rooms. We have heard Welcome Home at many resorts, including CBR, Poly, GF & YC as well as at the DVC properties. OKW is always the easiest for us to reserve at-seems they always have availability when we travel (F&W, Christmas, Spring Break), but maybe we just have the luck? AKV is our home resort...when I'm at a loss, OKW always has a room for us.

Techjpm-I used to live in Toms River...now in LBI. Small world! Good luck with your project.

Hello, TECHJPM!!! Thanks for your thoughts, and the information you provide! I always enjoy reading other peoples' opinions, and learn something new every day about DVC. I love resort hopping, so it's neat to read what other people like/dislike during their stays.

As for Pepper Market, we love PM. Most trips, we go twice. Because check-in can be hit or miss, we drop our stuff off at the resort on the first day, go to a water park, and then hit PM. Because all of us love it, we tend to eat there the last day of our trip as well. When given the choice, the kids always pick it.

What do we like? It's large, and you can generally get in quickly. It's a cross between fast food and sit down, so it's different than what you eat in the parks. There's a wide variety (American, Mexican, Italian, etc.), even though we have a hard time getting past the Mexican place...wet burritos, cheese quesadillas, nachos...YUM! Makes me want to go there just thinking about it! ;)

I haven't read your review, so I hope you enjoyed it! We'll be at WDW in April, too! AKV - 4/10 through 4/17! Can't wait. I'm really excited that we're now under the 100 day mark!!! :woohoo:

Thanks for taking the time to post your thoughts! I enjoy reading! :thumbsup2

Just FYI

Pepper Mill is not operated by Disney. Most the the restaurants and food courts are Disney's but not Pepper Mill. Sorry, I wish I could remember the name of the company that operates it - but it is not coming to me at this time.

We all love Pepper Mill also! That's how we found out it wasn't Disney food - we were back at Olivia's bragging about how great the food was at Pepper Mill and they fessed up that it wasn't Disney!

Anything I can do to help future DVC'ers. I only review with honesty. I don't do favorable reviews for money, I will always post from the heart just to help others.

I would think that the OP was referring to the short, choppy sentences. They don't flow very easily, and do seem to lack a little professionalism and grasp of sentence structure. An unbiased proofer should be able to help.

Outside of that, the website is interesting, as I also like to read the reviews of other vacationers. I enjoy reading the bad as well as the good stays.

Thanks for your contribution to the board!
