DH and I just returned from 5 days, staying at POFQ and eating on the dining plan. We had no troubles using the card and found the CM's to be helpful when we presented the card. Here's a mini review:
Saturday lunch: Earl of Sandwich: long line, good original sandwich and good salad
Saturday dinner: Chefs de France: good pate and escargot and duck. potatoes were blah. No walk-ups accepted: completely booked.
Sunday lunch: Tucker House at AK: good rotisserie chicken and chocolate cake and mashed potates, large enough for us to split
Sunday dinner: Citricos: foie gras pasta over salted but still good; shrimp appetizer just OK, Cinderellabration chocolate crown unreal!
Monday lunch: Morocco: baklava!! large chicken wraps
Monday dinner: California Grill (in the wine room which is much quieter) better foie gras, good steak, terrific valhrona cake (and they substituted vanilla ice cream rather than the PBJ for me: service was terrific)
Tuesday lunch: Columbia Harbor House at MK: good clam chowder, huge sandwiches
Tuesday dinner: Rose and Crown: good fish, lukewarm chips, sticky toffee not up to what we've had in London. DH luved the Guiness on tap.
Wednesday lunch: Le Cellier: great steaks, loved the chocolate mousse, terrific service, good pretzel bread and of course, cheddar cheese soup.

Now I'm ready to go on a diet and ready to go back :sunny:

Thanks for posting! You covered some of the places I'm interested in dining here in a few weeks.

Enjoyed reading your reviews ~ Thanx for posting.

Just curious--how were you (and other patrons) dressed the nite you dined at California Grill?? Trying to get a handle on whether or not they are enforcing any sort of dress code.
And I agree-the Wine Room is a more peaceful spot to dine.

No shorts as it was too cool (65 during the day, 45 at nite), no sweats. I had on black pants with a short jacket. DH had on khakis with an oxford shirt. I did not see any ladies in dresses nor any men in ties. Lots of Izod-type shirts and 1 turtleneck. So I suspect that "neat and tidy" would do.

Have a great time!

We are going for 6 nights in Jan and are dining at 2 signature resturants as well (Cali Grill and Narcoossee's). We want to have table service every night, but will have to pay OOP for some since we will be a couple credits short. How'd that work out for you?

We paid OOP for Chefs by saying we were not on the dining plan when the waiter asked at the beginning and giving him a credit card instead of the room charge card. At Cali Grill and Citricos, we gave the room card which says "dining plan" for the meals and then a charge card for the wine. And we were on CP plan for Rose and Crown so we presented that voucher instead.

We would tell the waiter at the beginning that we were on the dining plan and could they please direct us appropriately. The waiter at Citricos pointed out that any soup, salad, or appetizer was still an appetizer under the dining plan and the waitress at Cali Grill pointed out that flatbread was an appetizer and that the cheese platter could be an appetizer or a dessert. And the waiter at Rose and Crown said we could have tea or coffee with our dessert as our non-alcoholic beverage since we did not order it with dinner (DH had to have Guiness).

Have fun!
