The ABC's of a FALL Trip with Friends, Food, Wine, and a Conference- A PTR for Now UPDATED 10/4, Last Minute" Babblings" (10/12)

THIS!!! I cannot wait to do the same! We are staying at Pop for 10 glorious days over Xmas to New Year's Day. We got the free quick service Dining Plan, but upgraded to the regular DDP. We're paying about $90ish a day total for the three of us, but there is zero chance I could ever feed all three of us for that price, so I feel like we are coming out way on top. I'm going to add up what our actual OOP cost would've been for all of our dining during the trip, just to see how much we beat it by. I'm such a nerd that I'm so excited about this. LOL

Your plan sounds delightful and delicious!
10 days!!! WOW, Nice!! Long enough to be naughty on the spending too! ;) LOL!!

So, $30/day pp for the upgrade, not bad! You most definitely are winning on that one! And... we think alike. Disney Fuzzy Math Masters!

Really not long to go until D-DAY! Looking forward to the first day sneak peeks.
I’ve never owned a lounge but I do carry a backpack type bag on park days with pretty much everything you listed plus a bottle of spray sunscreen. The aerosol type that doesn’t need rubbing in. I also have blister plasters, small pack of tissues, hand sanitizer, ziplock bags in a couple sizes ( small for snacks I want to bring back to room and 1 extra large to fit wet ponchos in so everything else doesn’t get soaked), loperamide tablets ( ibs family) and antacid meds in my bag. Phew, think that’s it 😂. Oh and my glasses are in there so I can swap them with my sunglassses when I’m indoors :goodvibes
Wishing you safe travels and a fun-filled,educational trip 😊

Luckily, I’d packed 95% of my stuff last weekend not knowing that this weekend I’d be spending the whole weekend with my mom in the hospital. She passed out and took a tumble on Saturday morning and banged herself up enough to win a 2-night admission for a cardiac and pulmonary workup. The hope is that they can find out why she keeps having these episodes and discharge her tomorrow sometime.
I'm sorry to hear about your mom. I hope it all gets resolved soon.

This morning was my turn to buy lightening lanes for our upcoming trip. I only bought one, a SLL for Flight of Passage on Friday, Oct 24th. We don't plan to buy any others. :)

We don't have any of the same park plans as you do. Trip dates Oct 20-25
Mon - EP and San Angel for dinner
Tues - MK and Raglan Road for dinner
Wed - HS and Three Bridges for dinner
Thurs - MK and Summer House for dinner
Fri - AK and Ale and Compass for dinner
Sat - Epcot morning and airport afternoon

We like to go the Disney Springs when we stay at POR. It is a nice boat ride away. :)

Well, one week until D-DAY! Disney Day, that is!!
Have fun with your assault on the castle!
this weekend I’d be spending the whole weekend with my mom in the hospital.
:(
Sorry to hear that.
The hope is that they can find out why she keeps having these episodes and discharge her tomorrow sometime.
Hopefully she’s feeling better by now.
FastPasses, sigh… remember when they were free?!
Yeah…
I get why they had to go, but…

Oh, goodness, your poor Mom. I hope they were able to get some answers and keep her comfortable for her hopefully brief stay!

I despise having to carry the park bag. For many years, we had an entire backpack loaded up with all of Jimmy's needs and just in cases--extra clothes, shoes, snacks, etc. Since he's gotten older, Rob still usually carries our slightly smaller park bag (the sling bag given to Castaway Club members on Disney Cruise line for YEARS!) which means I get out of the hauling of water bottles, ponchos, etc.

Now that we've taken more trips just the two of us, or with our big enough boy, I will sometimes carry an oversized fanny pack that just has our extra battery pack, chapstick, gum, and poncho for me. Rob will carry the other ponchos in his cargo shorts and off we go!

I love the variety of Loungeflys, but I have never been able to commit to actually purchasing one, and I think the straps would annoy the heck out of me in the sweaty sunshine all day. There are SO many cute ones!! I've treated myself to a couple of the matching wallets and lanyards since they're a less expensive way for me to get in on the fun without committing to a whole bag, LOL!

HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!!
