The family consists of myself, dh, dd4 and dd2 (she just shared our meals). We were on the dining plan (awesome!) and had a fabulous time.

Friday :
Arrived and had lunch at the ASMo Food Court. I had the grilled veggie sandwich, dh had the cuban sandwich, and dd4 had a kids meal of mac-n-cheese, applesauce and carrot sticks. We loved all of it. The veggie sandwich was on a wonderfully grainy bread and was dressed with a very tasty dressing. We used our CS credits for this. We got vouchers for dessert to have later that night. We got ice cream sandwiches made with the chocolate chip cookies - holy cow! They were huge and delicious.

Dinner at Food Court was a pizza. Now we are from outside of South Philly so we are picky about our pizza. This wasn't what we have at home but it was not bad at all. It hit the spot after a very long day.

Saturday:
We had pop tarts in our room for breakfast. For lunch our CS was at Seasons in Epcot. We loved this place so much we ate there again on Monday night. We had the turkey and munster on foccacia (held the mayo). They also allow a soup, salad or other side and a dessert on the plan. The sandwich was delicious and huge - we all loved it. We got soups as sides but I was pretty full so we just shared them and tasted them a bit - they were very good as well. We then had dessert: I got a fruit salad, dh got key lime pie tart, and dd got strawberry shortcake. We shared them and they all were wonderful.

Dinner was at Marrakesh. What a fabulous time we had. The food was very good and dd was asked to belly dance in front of the roomful of people. She had a blast. Dh and I got the combination appetizer for two - which we shared with the girls (they don't give an adult appetizer for the kids which every other place did but it was so much food we didn't care). My dd2 inhaled the beef brewat rolls and she is very picky. We picked at everything else and it was very good. I ordered the Chicken Kebabs which were great. Seasoning was just right, not too spicy but not bland. Dh got the Night in Casablanca. It had lamb, chicken and seafood bastilla. He LOVED everything, especially the lamb, something he was hesitant about at first because he's never had it cooked correctly. Dd had the vegetable couscous which she liked but was too preoccupied with the belly dancing to eat much. For dessert we got the apple crepes and the marrakesh delight (fruit cup with a mint ice cream which we swapped for vanilla). It was a lot of food but we loved it. Would go back again anytime.

Sunday (Easter):
PSB at Akershus - after reading so many varied opinions on this meal I was a little nervous. Well, we LOVED this. The food was hot, well-prepared (not greasy at all which is what I expect with eggs, sausage, and bacon). The potato casserole was yummy. The girls loved the carmel sticky rolls and the fruit was a nice light addition to the meal. We saw Jasmine, Belle, Mulan, and Aurora, in addition to Ariel, whom we had our portrait taken with. They spent plenty of time with us and were so sweet to the girls.

Dinner - back at the resort simply because we were too tired to stay at Epcot through dinner. I had a grilled portobello pasta and my dh had roast turkey with mac-n-cheese and greenbeans. Mine had a bit too much oil for my taste but was good nonetheless. Dh said his was very good. Dd had spaghetti and meatballs which she loved. We got vouchers for dessert to have later which were for ice cream cones - very tasty.

More to come when I have more time....

So back to my reviews....

Monday:
Breakfast was at the Castle for CRT. They served fruit to begin along with something else we can't remember (some kind of bread). Dh had the standard meal which filled him up with one serving (and he's a big eater) and he said it was great. Dd4 had a smaller plate of the eggs, sausage, bacon, etc. I ordered the healthy plate of peach yogurt, granola and carmelized banana - absolutely delicious. It was a nice healthy respite from the heavier meals I had - not that I'm complaining about those meals:) They gave my dd2 french toast sticks which she ate up. Our CM was very attentive and asked several times if we wanted more of anything. I must say again that I've heard mixed reviews on this and we found it to be a highlight of our trip. Loved every second of it.

Dinner (too full for anything but snacks during the day) was at Seasons again. It was another great meal. I had the same sandwich (turkey and munster on foccacia) with a rich and sinful brownie topped with mini-chocolate chips (I must add at this point that I am a chocoholic AND 5 months pregnant so I definitely got my cravings satisfied with the desserts!). Dh had the vegetable cuban which he said was "okay" - it wasn't what he thought it would be. He did have my soup and his soup and that completely made up for it. He loved all of their soups. Dd4 had a chicken caeser salad that she ate up. They got the same desserts as last time (key lime pie tart and strawberry shortcake), both of which were just as good.

Tuesday:
We had pop tarts and milk again for breakfast.

Lunch was at Cosmic Ray's . We all got the turkery wraps which came with applesauce as a side. We love wraps and these were great - and very generous in terms of size. I got the no sugar added brownie which was tasty and tried my dd's triple chocolate cake which was very, very good. Dh got the carrot cake but was too full to eat it. We took it back but he never got around to eating it later.

Dinner was amazing at Coral Reef. Requested a table by the tank and although she said she couldn't guarentee it we were seated within five minutes right against the tank. The girls loved that part. We ordered the linguini with smoked fish, creamy lobster soup, and a mixed salad that my dd ordered. She ended up devouring the soup so my dh barely got a taste but they both loved it. The linguini was a strong smoked fish flavor but my dd2 loved it as did my dh (I'm just not that into the smoked flavor so it was a personal preference thing). I ordered the lump crabcake over mashed potatoes (I swapped out the chiorzo potato hash for it because I'm not into really spicy stuff) and my dh ordered the crabcake as it was on the menu. I loved, loved, loved the crabcake and the potatoes made a nice accompaniment. Dh loved the crabcake as well but said the potato hash was a bit too spicy for the crabcake but he said it was still good. The crabcake more than compensated. Dd4 had pasta with marinara. Of course, she loved that. Dessert was what I was waiting for...the chocolate wave. It lived up to it's reputation. Chocolate heaven! Dh had the cheesecake and he said it delicious as well. Dd4 had the make your own sundae adapted to her peanut allergy. She loved it. We ordered a scoop of ice cream for dd2 which she enjoyed as well.

Wednesday:
Breakfast was at Crystal Palace. Character interaction was great. Saw everyone without feeling rushed and was able to get our food without worrying about missing anyone (CM told us when to stay put to help make sure we'd see everyone). We actually had them come around more than once. The food was scrumptious. I had made to order blueberry pancakes with whipped topping - a favorite of mine that you can't get many places (lots of places just use blueberry topping). They were so, so good. I also had the Breakfast Lasagna because I'd heard so much about it. Wow, was that good, I didn't think I'd be into it but the combination of the fruits with the french toast (at least that's what I think was in it) was so wonderful. Dh had a made to order omelet with all kinds of veggies, along with a bagel with lox and cream cheese and other breakfast meats. He loved it. The girls had an assortment of character waffles (they loved them just for the characters), fruit, bacon, and a sampling of the breakfast pizza. They were very preoccupied with the characters and doing a parade around the restaurant with them that they didn't eat as much as they normally would but they left full enough and had a blast.

Snack for lunch since we were so full.

Dinner was at Tangeriene Cafe. I had the vegetarian platter which was very good, I didn't like the tabouleh but it wasn't that it was bad, I just don't care for mint. The hummus (a staple at our house) was delicious and the bread that came with it was very good. The couscous was the best I've had and I really enjoyed the lentil salad that came with it. Dh had the Shawarma platter with chicken and lamb. He said it was very good but he also didn't like the tabouleh (again, he doesn't care for mint). Dd had a chicken shawarma platter that she nearly finished up herself. She loved the hummus as well but also ate up the chicken and couscous. The dessert was the only problem. I knew going there that the only dessert offered was baklava. I tried it and it wasn't to my liking, dh ate it and said he liked it, but dd couldn't have that or any other dessert because of the nuts used in all of their desserts. I was a little disappointed but was so full it really didn't matter in the end.

Thursday:
Breakfast was pop tarts with milk again.

Lunch was at Tusker House in AK. I had the chicken salad which I loved, it was so refreshing to have on a very hot day. It was chunks of chicken in a balsalmic vinegrette with salad, spinach, and bulgar wheat. It was a big portion but not so much that I couldn't finish. Dh and dd both had the turkey wraps with corn chowder. They didn't care for the wrap as it had tabouleh in it! But they said the chowder was great. Dd and I had the chocolate cake for dessert and dh had cheesecake - all of which were delicious. One warning - there are no straws AK which made it hard to give dd2 a drink. We solved it by getting the coffee lids and having dd drink out of it that way.

Dinner was at Chef Mickey's. It was quite crowded and there was a little bit of a wait (maybe 15 minutes) but during that time we got our picture taken so that kept us a little busy. We had a blast at this meal. The characters came around several times, the food was definitely not what I expected for a buffet, and the service was great. I had Tamarind Glazed Salmon with Pesto and Wasabi Mango Coulis,w ith parmesan mashed potatoes, carrots in a orange glaze, fruit, and more chocolate chip cookies than I should have had. It was all just fabulous. Dh had the prime rib, pork, a little salmon, baby potaotes, a seafood salad with shrimp and scallops, and went back for seconds. He could not believe the quality of the food for a buffet. Dds had a sampling of the mickey raviolis, peas, salad, mac-n-cheese, and fruit. The dessert bar was a highlight for them of course.

So in conclusion, we didn't have a bad meal the entire week except for the turkey wraps at Tusker House. The service was amazing throughout and I left with a very well fed baby in my belly! I just want to thank everyone else who provided reviews over the past few months, it was such a help and I doubt I would have had such wonderful experiences if it weren't for all of your help!

Great Reviews! You had breakfast at Akershus and Aerial was there? If so I wonder if it was because of Easter. Aerial usually doesn't do breakfast. I'm hoping for Mulan, Jasmine, & Aerail for breakfast, too afraid of lunch or dinner. Can't wait to read the rest.

Great reviews. We loved PSB as well. It was the best breakfast I've had in Disney World since they stopped serving b-fast at Tony's!!!

Can't wait for the rest :)

thank you for the great reviews. i am so impressed that your children eat such a variety of different foods!!! :thumbsup2 i don't think i read once about chicken tenders and fries  i have a 7 yr. old niece and 5 yr. old nephew that i doubt would ever try the restaraunts that you chose. good job!!

Enjoyed reading your reviews ~ Thanx for sharing.

Thanks for the reviews. Seasons is one of our favorite CS restaurants too. We've been thinking about trying Marrakesh for a while now. After reading your review, it's going on the list for next trip. :)

Glad the reviews helped! I would definitely do the DP again. We got to try meals at places we would have never tried without it. Our bill at Coral Reef would have been $135 alone. We tried to keep track of all our bills but forgot a few times but we know that my dh spent about $375 and we paid $245 for his plan. As for the girls eating, we have a 4 y.o. who loves food, all kinds, and we know we are very lucky. She asks for hummus for lunch at least once a week and when I said we were going to Marrakesh and they had couscous she screamed "I LOVE couscous!" My 2 y.o. is a bit less adventurous but we still offer what we are having at every meal.

Hope you all enjoy your upcoming trips as much as we did. We are already planning a return in 2007.
