Just got back from a LOVELY stay at the Dolphin. We dined at Blue Zoo one night and here is my review...

Before our dinner, we walked over to Il Mulino at The Swan. It had a really funky, trendy vibe. We sat at the bar and I had such a unique drink...the "testarossa." It was basil leaves muddled with some strawberries, vodka, a splash of cran juice and I think also some cointreau or grand marnier or some sort of orange liqueur. THEN, the bartender whipped out this cool little spring loaded silver pepper grinder, that he pushed with his thumb and he garnished the drink with black pepper. The drink was served over ice, but I think I would like it better strained and served "up" in a martini glass. It was a really interesting mix of flavors. It was a tad bit too sweet for my liking, and if I ordere it again, I will ask for (and I am sure PAY FOR) more vodka and just a splash of the flavorings.

I also had a "Zooberry Martini" at BZ. It is billed as blueberry infused vodka, a splash of lemon juice and a splash of simple syrup. To me, it tasted more like vodka mixed with a juice. Again, it was too "juicy" and not "vodka-y" enough, LOL.

The best drink of the trip was the drink I had next...The cosmo at BZ. Now, I know what you are thinking...cosmos are soooo 1998, right? Not this cosmo! They mixed up the liquor...ketel one (I think the citroen one) and orange liquear (once again, I forgot whether it is cointreau or Grand Marnier, sorry) and I am guessing a splash of lime or lemon...and then it is TOPPED with a cranberry foam. Every sip is is such a treat. I would love to learn how to make this at home, and if anyone has any suggestions, or knows a bartender from BZ, please share!

We also had capt morgan and club soda with lime at the pool at the Dolphin, and mojitos at the pool, and mojitos at the Crew Cup Galley, and mojitos at the Lobby Bar, and mojitos at Flying Fish.... yeah, we had a lot of mojitos that day!

Cosmos are so 1998? So does that mean I am really 32??!!
I LOVE cosmos (except when they try to make them with Curant Absolut...YUK!)
And I do have to be careful NOT to let others order me one every time they order a round of beer!!!
Is BZ at Dolphin?
And I LOVE mojitos! Best one ever at Treasure Island MX restaurant in Vegas!

LOL, my girlfriend could not get her hubby to go to WDW with her, he said he hated it. She asked my hubby to convince him to go for a long weekend as a group. So, her hubby agreed after all the pressure we put on him, lol.

They bought parkhoppers (or that play three days thing) and before we went back home that weekend girlfriends hubby had had such a good time, he told her we need to go buy annual passes before we leave, lol. And they did.

The adult version of WDW can't be beat..

What??? No list from the Rusty Scrupper???? I've been gypped...GYPPED, I say!

lilygator...it is GOOOOD! But then again, I like savory items in my drink...you know, the whole blue cheese stuffed olive in a dirty martini. Also, a bloody mary is kind of an odd mix, when you think about it!

KKB-Yup! BZ is at the Dolphin! You gotta try their cosmo. I think you will be impressed!
