Review Review of HGVC at Seaworld

We are currently here, arrived late last night. We are in a 1 bedroom unit.

Here are my impressions so far.

Likes:
It is clean and well maintained.
The unit is very much like a DVC unit and reminds me of OKW.
There are many amentities at the main pool area including activities for the children.
They have a movie shown nightly
The price couldn't be beat at under $100 a night.
Literally across the street from Seaworld.

Dislikes:
We are in the farthest building. I am not minding because it is just my DH and I on this trip, but if we had the kids along then it would pretty much suck.
A rental car is essential for visiting WDW.

I would definitely return to this resort.
The jury is still out about how I would feel about staying here when I am only planning on doing Disney. This is my first off site stay.

There is another group of pools and a childrens playground for the buildings that are farther away but, if you wanted to use the main area, how long do you think it would take you to get from your building to the main pool? Someone asked me that question and I guessed 1/4 mile at the most. If you consider that an average day of WDW is 10 to 15 miles worth of steps it didn't seem like much of a bother.

We stayed at one of the buildings right next to the main pool so we never had any reason to go near the other buildings.

What eactly is the interactive water feature they have listed on their map? Is this something for kids can play with that sprays up at them, or is this just a fountain to look at?

Thanks for posting this info, Olallamom. We're HGVC owners who will be at HGVC Sea World in June. It's been quite awhile since I stayed at this property, so I'm interested to hear your thoughts.

Awesome to know...I just booked for june and got a suite for 116 a night.....I requested a room next to main pools just for that reason....since we will have DD3 with us.....

Good to know it is a nice place to stay.
