I was unsure where to put this. But I figured since the is the solo traveler board I will get better feedback here. Thanks!

Hi everyone!

Today I sat down and wrote down a general plan for my trip. The OCD wants to have everything minute by minute. But I am going to have a lazy vacation this time (must not commando tour..must not commando tour....).

So I'm basically doing parks early in the morning. Nap/pool/shopping in the afternoon, dinner in the evening and parks later at night. I will be staying at the POR. I've heard mixed reviews about the buses. So I want to give myself plenty of time to get everywhere.

Please tell me if I've given myself too much time or if I will need more time than I have planned. THANKS!

Here are my plans. If anyone has any suggestions please give them :)

7/4-
11 am arrive at MCO, ME to POR. check in, etc
2pm- mini golf at winter summerland (I have a free voucher from AAA), afterwards head back to POR--get my room key if it wasn't available before. nap and then get ready for dinner
730- leave for GF. ***while I'm waiting for the boat to go to GF, could I see the 4th of july fireworks from the entrance gates?**
945- dinner at Narcooses, after dinner go back to MK, look around walk off some of that food ;) and find a good spot for Spectromagic.

7/5-
Be at AK at least 45 mins before opening around 815. Force myself to try expedition everest :O
Lunch at AK
back to hotel for laziness
get ready for dinner.
7pm leave for epcot
850 dinner at Chefs de France

7/6-
I'm going to try to do a Keys to the Kingdom Tour
afterwards back to hotel for laziness
Get ready for dinner
630- leave for Contemporary
8 dinner @ California Grill
after dinner back to MK for EMH

7/7-
Free day. Wake up whenever.
Go to downtown disney for shopping and a Hot Fudge sunday.
Visit Epcot
Dinner at Jikos (can't remember the time..will have to call wdw again..how long should I give myself to get there?)
Check out the Boardwalk (best way to get there from Jikos?)

7/8-
another free day. I plan to return to my favorite rides etc.
Maybe do something at the spa? What do yall recommend?
750- Dinner at Yachtsman

7/9-
Wake up in time to check out :(
I assume I can leave my bags at the front desk?
Head out to the parks again.
Return in time to catch the ME
Flight leaves at 745

Sounds wonderful. One of these years I'll plan a more leisurely trip. My history is to be at the parks from open to close.

Jiko to (I think) the Boardwalk would require a bus from AKL to any open park then a bus to Boardwalk. Or a taxi.

You should be able to check your bags with bell services on your check out day. That's what I do with my carry on. I check my checked luggage with ME before I head out to the parks my last day.

Sounds good, I always like the idea of having few "free days" when travelling

Just wondering, are you doing the California Grill and the mini-golf solo?

For last August, I asked about a solo reservation at California Grill, and they said they had no tables for one, and you had to have at least two people. Luckily I found three people to meet me there, so there was no problem. Were you able to get a solo reservation there?

Also, while you could play mini-golf by yourself, it would probably be more fun with others. Maybe some people from this board can meet you, if you haven't already arranged something....

I won't be there at that time, but your plan sounds like fun.

Yes, I was able to make a single reservation for California Grill. I know mini golf wont be the best of fun by myself. But I don't know anyone who will be down there at the same time..

You could start a new thread and see if anyone will be there that day and can meet you for mini-golf. Maybe a local person could meet you, if you can't find a tourist.

If I were going to be there at that time, I would have met you myself. I'm a big fan of mini-golf. I don't always win, but it's fun to play.

sounds like a good plan to me. you'll have lots of fun. i stayed at POR for my first ever solo trip and had a lot of fun doing what i wanted when i wanted. (check out my trip report below). i'm impressed that you are eating so many places alone. that is one thing that i didn't do at disney...i stuck with counter service places. but when i took another solo trip (this time to universal) i ate at restaurants alone and survived so i am anxious to try them at disney solo.

i planned out my solo trip and unfortunately didn't stick to plan and went commando and tired myself out the first 2 days. definitely like that you plan to take it easy. too bad i won't be at disney or i would meet you also for minature golf. i love minature golf though i am usually the one trying to fish my ball out of the pond. i am heading to universal with my niece this time in a couple of weeks. have a great trip!
