Does revenge of the mummy go upside down? My son likes Space Mountain, but doesnt like rockin roller coaster because it went from 0-60 miles so quickly. How scary is it? Son is 11 but loved both Mummy movies.

I was told the only upside down coasters are Dueling Dragons and Hulk

Although there are no inversions on the Mummy, there is an uphill launch. It's not as fast as RnRC, though.

No upside down and no loops..A fast launch up a hill and a fast coaster ride, that is about it for the coaster type part of it...:sunny:

I am just like your son - I like Space Mountain, but I cannot do Rockin Roller Coaster. I hated that launching feeling at the beginning, and I will never ever go on it again!

But - I LOVED the Mummy!! We went on it four times on our trip in June! I'll bet he will love it too!

Yes, there are several drops. Make no mistake about it, it is a rollercoaster and not just a dark ride like Haunted Mansion.

thank you. I am still going to do it. I try almost everything at least once. LOL.

Some great steep drops and downward spirals that are really fast... it's a great coaster even without the props that make it spectacular...

I did it 4 times and it was great each time... front row gives you a smoother ride... last row bangs you around more... i don't know why...

The seats are raised more in the back. In the front, the coaster feels faster and you can see more effects. In the back, the coaster is stronger and you get more airtime.

I'm scared, but i am going to try it.

The last drop into the fog pit is insane in the back, but that's why I usually ride there. :teeth: The first time I rode the ride I was in the front row. When I rode in the back, I never saw the airtime coming. That made for a funny on-ride photo. Where you sit really does make a difference, which is quiet strange considering there's only 4 rows and it's a single vehicle.

My 68 year old Dad and timid 10 year old loved it- it's fast, dark and has a few drops but not " I feel my lunch coming up and I can't catch my breath " drops- just great fast long slides! Why don't you ride it first and let your son sit on the bench in the baby swap area- my 8 year old sat there by himself and was quite happy.

WOW, so i guess i sit in the front and have my husband navigate. LOL

I must be the oddball because the mummy coaster scared me to death! I can ride the rocknrollercoaster and space mtn. all day long but the mummy coaster has DROPS where those do not, and I have this weird fear of drops and falling. I did manage to ride it 4x in a row to try and break my fear (for my DD's sake coz she loves coasters) but I really didn't enjoy it too much simply because of those drops. I'll ride it again, but I will have butterflies in my stomach for sure! Linda

I am NOT a rollercoaster person...I can handle Big Thunder Mountain and that's about it.

However, I had to prove something to DH this past trip! :)

I did Rock-n-rollercoast...screamed my head off the whole time. But at least I did it once (this was my second timein 3 years riding it.)

I rode The Mummy 5 times in one day (DH rode 7 - twice RIGHT after lunch at Finnegans!) and 3 times the other day (DH once more right after breakfast - I just can't have that much food in my tummy!)

I LOVED this ride...after the 3rd or 4th time it felt like nothing...the big drop at the end is still cool though.

DH liked to not put his lap restraint down all the way - so he would get some more air time (I was clamped firmly in place! heheh) one time he had "two clicks" worth of air time - the only reason he knew that, was after coming down from a drop, his lap restraint clicked down twice more! heheh

GREAT ride...for someone that will not go on rollercoasters - this ride is awesome!

I rode it yesterday for the first time. I WILL NOT go on it again.

I get motion sick when going around in circles. The first part of the ride was good, but when the coaster started making sharp circle turns in the dark, I got queasy and felt that way the rest of the day.:(

I've done my "time" with the boys, now they can be the ones to enjoy it the rest of the time.
