Hi! Welcome to my pre-trip report. I'm hoping this goes well...I've only tried to write one trip report before and it didn't go so well....I never did finish the report. I'm hoping that this pre-trip report goes better. Why write the report? Well, no one currently in my house enjoys and obsesses of Disney trip planning like I do...and so I thought this would be a great place to record my plans and preparations for our upcoming trip.

And who are we?

1979707_10153916327785290_1386394_n.jpg

I'm Stephanie...obsessive Disney trip planner, lover of shoes and shopping, wife to Mark and mom to Alyssa and Brie. Oh, and I was born to be a princess but somehow my tiara and castle were misplaced. :confused3 My favorite Disney movie is Hercules...favorite Disney park is Epcot...favorite princess is Rapunzel...favorite attraction is Festival of the Lion King...favorite ride is Toy Story Midway Mania (or Big Thunder Mountain Railroad...can't really decide)...favorite treat at Disney World is a Dole Whip or a chocolate dipped frozen banana...favorite restaurant is 'Ohana... Yum....

Mark is my wonderful husband. He really enjoyed our first two family trips but then felt that he really didn't need to go back. And yet he is...for a very special reason that I'll tell you about momentarily. He is a high school teacher and coach :teacher:. He tolerates my love of all things Disney. He doesn't have a favorite Disney movie...favorite Disney park is Hollywood Studios...favorite princess is me princess: (LOL)...favorite attraction is either Tower of Terror or Rockin' Rollercoaster...favorite treat at Disney World is a Mickey Mouse ice cream bar...favorite restaurant is Earl of Sandwich. On our upcoming trip he's hoping to have some days to sleep in....and he'd also like to go on one of those swamp boats/air boats and look for alligators. I guess I need to look into arranging that somewhere for him.

Alyssa (left in the above picture) is our older daughter. She is the reason we are doing this trip. She has been in Honduras for the last 16 1/2 months as a missionary for our church and will be home in early April. Before she left on her mission we told her we would take her on any vacation she wanted, and she (of course!) chose Disney World. It ended up being her, my parents, and me...Mark and our younger daughter didn't really want to go and so we went in September 2013 and Mark and Brie stayed home since school had started. So now that she's coming home, we told her we would do any vacation she wanted and she, being the wonderful person she is, chose Disney World! And this time, all four of us are going. :cheer2: It's going to be culture shock for her to come back home...she's been without air conditioning, reliable indoor plumbing, hot water, carpeting, dishwashers, and washers and dryers for 16 1/2 months. We are so proud of her and can't wait to get her back home! Her favorite Disney movie is probably Tangled (I'll have to see if that has changed when she gets home)...favorite Disney park is Epcot...favorite attraction is either Rockin' Rollercoaster or Tower of Terror (she's her Daddy's roller coaster buddy)...favorite treat at Disney World is the "design it yourself" pretzel rods or rice krispie treats...favorite restaurant is 'Ohana. She's a rope drop person like me.

Brie (far right in the above picture) is our younger daughter. She is still in high school and plays basketball and lacrosse. She's got a fun, bright, fiery personality to match her red hair. She likes Disney but, like me, isn't really a fan of roller coasters in general. She's hoping to have some opportunities to sleep in as well...like father, like daughter. Her favorite Disney movie is Hercules...favorite Disney character is Meg (from Hercules) and favorite Disney princess is Mulan or Ariel...favorite Disney park is Epcot...favorite attraction is Big Thunder Mountain Railroad...favorite treat at Disney World is probably the Mickey ice cream bar...favorite restaurant is '50s Prime Time Cafe or 'Ohana but, like me, she is dying to try Sanaa.

Also joining us on this trip will be my parents...

My Dad is a retired Air Force officer and since he's coming with us we'll be utilizing the military resort discount as well a the military salute park tickets (that's actually the reason our trip was changed from June to August).

My parents will be joining us for the first couple of days of our trip. Their favorite park is Epcot and their favorite resort is POFQ. My Mom's favorite ride is Soarin' and my Dad's favorite ride is Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I don't know the rest of their Disney favorites. We are excited that they're able to come with us on this trip.

So that's our cast of characters!

Because my husband is a teacher and Brie is still in high school, and since Alyssa is getting home at the end of our spring break week, we knew we couldn't do the trip as soon as she got home. So the original plan was to do the trip in June, the week after school gets out. We debated staying off-site (gasp!) but decided that on-site would be much more convenient for us since Mark and Brie want to have some late mornings, and Alyssa and I want to do rope drop. Staying off-site would require us to drive two cars down (we're driving, not flying) and/or staying at an off-site location with good shuttle service. On the other hand, staying on-site, while more expensive, makes the transportation situation a bit more palatable (won't have to pay parking for two cars at the parks each day), plus we like the atmosphere on-site. It wasn't a hard decision...and even though my husband wants to do the trip as inexpensively as possible, he was actually the one who cast the deciding vote for staying on-site. So on-site it was. Next decision was where to stay...we knew we wanted to stay at a moderate. I looked into renting DVC points but within the price range I'm trying to keep the trip we would ahve had to rent a studio with a fold-out sofa sleeper and I generally don't find those comfortable and knew my daughters wouldn't like sleeping on that. So we decided to go with a moderate, and we've liked both of the moderates that we've stayed at (CB and CS). I started toying with the idea of staying at POR or POFQ since we haven't stayed there before and since my parents loved POFQ so much.

After starting our preliminary plans and running some numbers, I thought about how much fun Alyssa and I had on our trip in September '13 with my parents, and how much money we could save if we were able to use the military discounts (which would require my Dad to come with us), and so I approached my parents about doing the trip in August and them coming with us. It made us to some adjustment of our planned dates, and juggling with a couple of commitments my parents already had, but we were able to find a timeframe that worked for all of us. It means we'll only have four park days instead of five (military salute tickets are only four day tickets), but that's ok. We'll also have a non-park day that we have some special family plans for, and on the night of our non-park day our younger daughter decided Mark and I should go on a date and she and her sister could go out to dinner, so we'll probably go to DTD and split up -- Mark and I will go on a date (suggestions for where we should eat?) and Alyssa and Brie will go out to eat.

So once we got our August dates nailed down, my parents requested that we stay at POFQ because they like it so much, so that settled the resort question for us. I'm pretty excited to stay there after looking at pictures and reading about the resort. And I *love* beignets so I'm excited about those, too. I'm also looking forward to the boat transportation to DTD since the driving/parking situation is such a mess there right now.

So Mark, the girls, and I will leave our home on Friday, 7 Aug, drive to Georgia so we can attend my niece's baptism on 8 Aug, spend 9 Aug with my parents and sisters in Georgia, and then the morning of 10 Aug we'll drive to Disney World.

I made our ADRs!!! We aren't doing the dining plan. We've done it before, but that was when the plan covered more (appetizer, entree, drink, dessert, and gratuity). But we decided it really was more food that we could comfortably eat. We're not big breakfast eaters so we usually eat breakfast in the room (granola bars, chocolate croissants from the grab 'n go area, fruit), and since we usually go in the summer when it's hot, we don't have much appetite during the day. The girls and I aren't big eaters so the three of us usually share counter service meals. So on our last couple of trips we've picked a couple of places we want to go ('Ohana is a tradition for each trip) and done counter service for the rest.

For this trip, I asked the girls to each name one place they wanted to go. Both picked 'Ohana so I made Brie pick another place. She picked '50 Prime Time Cafe, which we enjoyed on our first trip. I picked Sanaa because we've wanted to try that for a while. Mark hasn't picked anywhere, but Earl of Sandwich is always our traditional "goodbye Disney World" meal (we always hit DTD as we leave Disney World). My parents, Alyssa, and I had lunch at BOG on our last trip and loved it so I knew I wanted a meal at BOG.

So my going in position for meals was as follows:

Monday, 10 Aug (arrival day): dinner at 'Ohana
Tuesday, 11 Aug: BOG lunch
Wednesday, 12 Aug: no ADRs -- eat around the World Showcase
Thursday, 13 Aug: Date night -- we'll be at DTD, haven't decided on ADRs yet
Friday, 14 Aug: lunch at '50s Prime Time Cafe
Saturday, 15 Aug: late lunch at Sanaa

Of course the app and website were both having issues on my ADR day, so I ended up calling in. Here's what we ended up with:

Monday, 10 Aug: 'Ohana, 6:25 pm (perfect, since we should be arriving between 2 and 3 pm)
Tuesday, 11 Aug: BOG dinner, 8:40 pm (this is way, way, way too late for us and I'm pretty sure I'll end up cancelling -- still hoping that I'll be able to get a lunch ADR once lunch ADRs open up later this month)
Friday, 14 Aug: 12:05 lunch at '50s Prime Time Cafe, also added a Fantasmic! Dining Package with dinner at Mama Melrose at 5:55 pm
Saturday, 15 Aug: late lunch at Sanaa at 2:10 (I think I'm going to try to move this to earlier in the day), dinner at BOG at 6:50 pm

Sunday will be our last stop at DTD, eat at Earl of Sandwich, and then start our drive home.

Tentative daily plans....

Our first Disney World trip was in July 2007 and I was so worried about parks. When I planned the trip, we researched all of the rides and attractions and I had each person pick one "must do" in each park and made sure we were able to do those, and then anything else would be extra. Now that we've been so many times, my strategy hasn't really changed at all. Each person lists their "must dos" and favorites for each park and we make sure to hit those, and anything else is icing on the cake. This will be our first trip with FP+ and I'm very nervous about how it will impact our touring plans. Mark and Brie are excited because they'll be able to sleep in and, if I've made our FP+ for late morning/afternoon, they will get their favorites in. Alyssa and I, on the other hand, are rope drop people....so I'm still trying to figure out if we should make our FP+ for morning and make Mark and Brie get up and come with us (LOL), or if Alyssa and I should do rope drop and get as much done as we can in the first couple of hours, and then have FP+ for all of us in the afternoon. I'm just not sure what the best strategy will be. Thoughts and suggestions?

Here are the tentative plans:

Monday, 10 Aug -- arrive between 2-3 pm, dinner at 'Ohana, activate park tickets

Tuesday, 11 Aug -- MK day
Must dos: SDMT, BTMRR, SM, Buzz, Monsters' Inc. Laugh Floor, Mickey's Philharmagic, Ariel, Festival of Fantasy Parade, Wishes
I'm hoping for a BOG lunch ADR this day

Wednesday, 12 Aug -- Epcot day
Must dos: Soarin', Test Track, Living with the Land, Spaceship Earth, explore WS (must do pick a pearl at Matsutoshi), Illuminations
We will eat around the world for dinner this night

Thursday, 13 Aug -- non-park day
Special family plans in the morning, then Mom and Dad will leave to go home
Evening -- date night at DTD -- still haven't decided where we're going to eat

Friday, 14 Aug -- DHS
Must dos: RNRC, TOT, TSMM, VOTLM, animation academy, Indiana Jones, Fantasmic!
Lunch ADR at '50s PTC and Fantasmic! dining package at Mama Melrose
I think we'll end up leaving the park after lunch and going back to the resort for a while, then coming back in the evening for dinner and Fantasmic!

Saturday, 15 Aug -- AK and MK
AK must dos: EE, KR, Safari, FOTLK, Finding Nemo
We have a late lunch at Sanaa and then will probably go back to the resort until later in the evening when we go back to MK for BOG dinner (which will be cancelled if I can get a BOG lunch on 11 Aug) and MSEP and Wishes

Sunday, 16 Aug -- departure day...sad....
DTD, Earl of Sandwich

So those are the plans so far. I'm making shopping lists for the trip and also researching how to customize our magic bands. There really isn't much else to do right now besides dream of Disney, refine our FP+ selections, decide what our touring/FP+ strategy will be, and wait until we can make FP+ reservations.

Ooh I Think I really like this new Disboards format. It has a jump to First Unread..I don't think the old format had that. I think that Nikki and I both will tell you to try for Ragland Road at Downtown Disney! Its now a must-do for us. One of those rare restaurants that we like SO many things on the menu. We are pretty picky. We are healthy food eaters. Yes...I'm the food police, shunning too much fat, sodium and sugar (ok, I'm loose about sugar at Disney).
What do you mean about customize the magic bands? You mean just pick a color? I asked Henry repeatedly what color he wants for our trip next month...he won't pick one. He has a blue one and a red one...so guess what...he's getting gray!! :joker: A short time ago, I realized, with Henry's birthday the week before our trip, we should be celebrating his birthday there. Well, you know how he hates ADRs...so I gently asked him if he wanted an ADR for Biergarten, which he really loves, but I don't. He gave me SUCH A LOOK! :confused3 I am sure he was contemplating paying adult prices for two 12 year old girls to pick and eat less than a kids meal...so, I think I'm going to make an ADR for Ragland Road..but I'll have to do it without telling him...or eyes will roll! :rotfl:

I really want to try Raglan Road and suggested it to Mark....he gave me such a look -- similar to Henry! LOL I think I'm going to make the ADR there anyway and he'll just have to live with it. It's been on my list of places to try since our first trip. I'd like my parents to go there since my Dad lived in Ireland for two years. I think I'll suggest it to them, as well.

Customizining the magic bands...I mean decorating them. I've seen so many cool idea, everything from stickers to painting them to custom art work...so Brie and I have been looking online and getting ideas. I'm going to wait to order them until after Alyssa gets home, though. I'm positive she'll want pink, but since we're still over five months out from the trip I'm not in a huge hurry. And I'm reading that some colors work better for painting and customizing than other colors, so I want to make sure we've all figured out what we want to do with our bands before I lock in the colors and order them.

Today I added an ADR at Raglan Road for my date night with Mark....although when I suggested Raglan Road he said no and made a face. LOL I think I can talk him into it by the time we actually go on the trip.

I ordered a shirt for my husband to wear on the trip, although he says he won't wear it. Our daughters agreed with me that he needs it, and if you can't wear a Disney shirt at Disney World, where would you wear it? It says "My favorite Disney princess is my wife." So I ordered it. We'll see if we can actually get him to wear it...LOL...he usually wears his athletic cool-dri fabric shirts at Disney World, so I'm betting he won't be willing to wear a regular t-shirt in the Florida summer heat and humidity. Maybe I can find a hat that says the same thing...because he never goes without a baseball cap at Disney.

I think I've figured out how I want to decorate my Magic Band -- I wanted a flourish design, and I found some flourish scrapbooking stickers (rhinestone) at Michael's that I think would be perfect. I was originally thinking just flat stickers or rub-ons, but again -- if you can't do bling at Disney World, where can you do it??? So now I need to decide what color band to do. The clear rhinestones would look great on the blue magic band...the black would look great on the pink or the red...decisions, decisions, decisions....

I like the two on the far left of the package, and they would be perfect for the Magic Bands since they are a matching set. I'm kind of OCD about symmetry -- if something is intended to be symmetrical, it needs to be absolutely symmetrical.

I also like this set -- again, the symmetry thing.

I've also seen some red Magic Bands painted with white polka dots and the Mickey head painted to look like a Mickey ice cream bar. I think that's really cute, too....but I'm not at all artistic and painting is beyond my skill level. My daughters, on the other hand, are both artistic and could probably do it. Me, I'm thinking I'll stick with the rhinestone flourishes...after all, they are very appropriate for someone who was born to be a princess. :-)

What a week! As you all know, BOG lunc ADRs opened on February 25...and, of course, the demand overwhelmed the reservation system and it was down much of the day. I thought ADRs would open at 7 am and because of firewall issues at work I can't access much of the Disney website...and because of where I work, my cell phone has to be turned off in the office (and I wouldn't be able to get reception anyway). So I had asked my good friend and TA to try to book a BOG lunch ADR for me. When I got on the bus for my morning commute, I noticed that BOG lunch ADRs had gone live around 2 am...instead of 7 am. I immediately started trying to get one through the MDE app but it wasn't working. Tried the website and that didn't work either. I messaged and texted my friend and she wasn't up yet. Sorry, Mindy!!! She got up and tried, too -- no luck. I continued to try to make that ADR by phone when I got to work...no luck. Finally in the late morning I was able to score a lunch ADR for the day I wanted it...but not until 2 pm. Too late in the day! I kept trying back and was able to get it moved to 10:30 in the morning. Too early! Finally, on the way home from work, I was able to get the ADR moved to the exact time I wanted. Just right! (I was starting to feel like Goldilocks...too late, too early, just right). It made for a frustrating day, though. Honestly, Disney knew the system would crash. It happens everytime they do a big opening like that. *Sigh* I think they should have done staggered openings...maybe the first week only people who wanted February/March ADRs, and then the next week open up April/May, etc. But all's well that ends well.

I also found exactly what I want to do for my Magic Band and, thanks to a very sweet and patient DISer, I was able to get the information I needed to send to my sister so she could cut the vinyl for me. Of course, there is the minor fact that I haven't even orderd our Magic Bands yet because I don't know what color I want...LOL...minor detail.

Today I ran an errand at the mall and found Disney pajamas on sale 50% off. Two of my favorite things -- Disney and 50% off! So I picked up a Minnie sleepshirt for Alyssa, a Mickey t-shirt and sleep shorts for Brie, and a Mickey sleepshirt for me. :-) I like to pick things up a little at a time as I see good deals. So I'll add these to the t-shirts I bought a couple of months ago and the Disney rain ponchos I ordered when they were $5 each...a good start on our trip shopping.

DH said he wants to go on a swamp boat alligator tour while we're there, and I think he was surprised when I told him I had been looking into making reservations for him to do that. I need to find out if the girls want to go with him. I would certainly prefer not to. Just not my thing. But if both girls go, then I guess I'll go, too.

So now the ADRs are all made...although I may drop the 50s Prime Time ADR and I need to cancel the BOG dinner ADR. Next up will be deciding what color Magic Bands to order and figuring out the best approach for our FP+ and touring plans/style.

Park tickets purchased today! Yea! That's one more thing I can cross of my to-do list. And I found a cute Ariel t-shirt at Target yesterday. My sister cut the vinyl for my Magic Band so whenever I get those ordered (probably May or June) I can get that done.

Last night I had another one of those "unprepared for our trip" dreams. I hate those! In this dream, it was my family, my parents, and another family (I have no idea who they were, but they were Disney newbies). Somehow we ended up at Disney World and in Magic Kingdom without having checked in. I had never gotten around to ordering our Magic Bands and so we were going to have the gray ones...but somehow we were in the park and hadn't picked them up yet. I had ordered Memory Maker but we didn't have our bands with us and so I kept telling people to wait to have pictures taken until we had our bands. There was a Target next door (LOL) so I left everyone in the park and ran over there to buy temporary tattoos, duct tape, and nail polish so we could decorate our bands. I was in a complete panic because the newbie family had no idea what was going on and I was trying to explain it to them but they kept running off in different directions, and I was upset because people kept getting pictures and riding rides with ride photos but we didn't have our bands so they were paying for the pictures out of pocket and complaining about the cost. LOL

Yeah, I'm such an OCD trip planner that I have these kinds of dreams!

Not much to report on the Disney trip planning front...ADRs are all made (although I'm still thinking of cancelling a couple of them), I'm watching for good deals on Disney-themed clothes for the trip (ordered a couple of t-shirts from Hot Topic), still trying to figure out what our FP+ strategy will be, and I think I've decided to place a Garden Grocer order so we won't have to worry about taking groceries with us on the drive down.

The exciting news this week is that our daughter will be home from Honduras this week -- Thursday night! We are SO excited and can't wait. All things Disney have taken a back seat to preparing for her homecoming, and we can't wait. She is my trip-planning buddy and so I've kind of been holding off a lot of the FP+ decisions until she gets home. Plus we can't make our FP+ reservations until June anyway....

We are SO excited to have her back home!

It's been a while since I posted...our daughter is home from Honduras and settling back into life, working and whiling away her time until she goes back to BYU in the fall. The school year is finally winding down, with about three weeks or so left to go. AP exams are over, and so is lacrosse season. Life is good.

I've purchased a couple more things for our trip -- a "Home" t-shirt that has the castle on it for me, along with some knit knee-length skirts for me to wear (A-line). I think they'll be much cooler than shorts (I only wear Bermuda length shorts) for the trip, and so I bought a few to try them out. I'm happy to report that, in yesterday's mid-80s, high humidity weather I was very, very comfortable. I think I'll take a combination of skirts and shorts on the trip and then just stick with whatever feels most comfortable. My daughter said that loose skirts were definitely more comfortable for her in Honduras, which is hotter and more humid than Orlando, and she'll probably go with skirts. We shall see. I also picked up a couple of t-shirts for the girls but they look like they'll be too big.

Next up is ordering our magic bands...everyone has decided on what color they want except me. LOL!!! I know how I'm going to decorate mine, but I don't know what color I want.

I'm trying to figure out the best FP+ strategy for us and I think it may be to make our FP+ for mid to late morning so DH and Brie can sleep in a bit. Alyssa and I will do RD and they can join us in time for our FP+. I still have a couple of weeks before I have to figure that out.

Haven't updated in a while...

I started going through Disney t-shirts for our trip...I found two more for one of my daughters at Target yesterday. I need to have her try on the ones I've bought so far to make sure they fit! If they don't, she'll probably wear a couple of mine. I've been planning out my wardrobe and I think I'm going with skirts most of the time instead of shorts. I think they'll be much cooler and more comfortable. I've picked up several really great knit, round skirts that are SO comfortable and really cute. My daughter who recently returned from a year and a half in Honduras said skirts were much more comfortable in the hot, humid climate than other clothing, and I know I've been more comfortable when I've worn skirts or loose, flowy dresses in the heat and humidity. So I need to get my outfits planned out and ready to go.

We're still debating about whether we'll drive one car or two -- with four adults and one 16 year old (who is taller than her sister and me!), we need space. My husband's Avalon is quite roomy and comfortable, but we might have a dog with us (dropping her off to my sister), and with our luggage and three of us who get car sick and want to sit in the front seat, I think two cars would be a better option. We have four drivers so we could easily take turns with the driving. I just hate to pay gas for two vehicles, but I think it will be the most comfortable way to go. So that still needs to be decided.

I decided against a Garden Grocer order. Since we'll be spending a couple of days in Georgia with my family and then caravanning down to WDW with my parents and they'll have plenty of room in their car for food, Mom is going to pick up cases of water, breakfast items, snacks, fruit, etc., at the commissary and those will come down with us in Mom and Dad's car.

My daughters have requested the time off work for the trip (already approved but they had to submit the paperwork) so that is done, and my leave request has been approved. Now I just need the next few weeks to pass quickly!

My parents decided to add another day to their reservation so they could use all four days of their park tickets. Unfortunately POFQ didn't have a standard room available without them having to switch rooms, which we didn't want to do. We wanted river view (gorgeous) but they could accommodate Mom and Dad but not us since we're staying one more day. So we ended up with pool view. I hope they're not too loud or too bright with the pool lights at night....we had problems with that at POP.

We got three of our magic bands decorated in the last couple of days. We're very excited at how they turned out! The pink with the black design is mine...pink with chevron stripes is my older daughter's, and the green with the white design is my Mom's. Originally she didn't want hers decorated but when she saw mine she changed her mind. LOL We're really excited with how they turned out. We ordered a monogram for our younger daughter's band and she wants to paint hers, and now she also wants to decorate my Dad's band and my husband's band. She's thinking about painting the BYU "Y" on my Dad's band. My husband requested a Maori warrior tattoo design (LOL!!!) but my daughter is thinking more along the lines of something with basketball since he coaches basketball. We'll see what she comes up with. She's very artistic.

We've also started planning out our Disney manicures. We won't be able to do pedicures for this trip -- no time given our schedules that week -- but we love Jamberry nail wraps and I ordered some custom ones for our trip, so I might use those. I wanted clear nails with red tips with white polka dots but that didn't work out. We've looked at some Disney nail art online and my younger daughter is planning out our manicures and pedicures for us -- like I said, she's really artistic and loves doing nails. We've also decided to add something new this trip -- Mickey-themed henna designs. She has been doing henna designs for a couple of years and we started talking about doing one with Mickey heads so she's started planning that out.

Here are our daily plans, with ADRs and FP+...

Here are the tentative plans:

Monday, 10 Aug -- arrive between 2-3 pm, dinner at 'Ohana, activate park tickets

Tuesday, 11 Aug -- MK day
ADRs: I made a breakfast ADR for BOG just so we could get into the park early but I'm not sure I'll keep it. We aren't big breakfast eaters -- but if we can share entrees that it would probably be ok. I haven't talked to my family about this so I need to do that. We do have a BOG ADR for lunch and we'll definitely keep that one.
FP+: SDMT, Space Mountain (everyone but Mom and me), IASW (Mom and me), and Jungle Cruise. We know we absolutely have to ride BTMRR and Buzz, and also want to do Monsters' Inc. Laugh Floor, Mickey's Philharmagic, and Ariel. My girls and I will watch Festival of Fantasy but my parents and husband will probably skip that. Then we'll do MSEP and Wishes that night.

Wednesday, 12 Aug -- Epcot day
ADRs: None -- lunch will be Sunshine Seasons and dinner will be eating around the World Showcase
FP+: Soarin', Spaceship Earth, and Turtle Talk. When we arrive, Mom and I will head straight to Soarin' and ride standby while everyone else goes straight to TT and rides standby and then does Sum of All Thrills. We'll meet for Nemo and Turtle Talk, then do Living with the Land. There will be an afternoon break at some point for whoever wants to take one, and then that afternoon/evening we'll explore WS (must do pick a pearl at Matsutoshi). Definitely can't miss

Thursday, 13 Aug -- non-park day
Special family plans in the morning, then DTD for lunch
ADRs: Raglan Road (date night for my husband and I, but I'm thinking very hard about cancelling this one and trying one of the QS places that looks good and that I know my husband would like...can't remember the name of it right off). Our daughters will be hitting up the food trucks for dinner -- they're looking at Namaste.
FP+: My parents were originally leaving after lunch this day but they decided to extend a day and so they'll eat lunch with us at DTD and then that evening they'll go to Epcot. They have FP+ for Soarin' (Mom's favorite ride), Spaceship Earth, and Nemo, but I made those for late afternoon so they'll probably skip all but Soarin, which is at 7 pm. They'll probably watch Illuminations but not sure.

Friday, 14 Aug -- DHS for us, AK for my parents (as noted above, my parents extended their trip by one day so we won't be together this day)
ADRs for us: Fantasmic! dining package at Mama Melrose
FP+ for us: TSMM, ToT, and Star Tours. The plan is for me to head straight to TSMM and ride stand by then find something to occupy myself while my husband and the girls head straight to RNRC and ToT and ride as many times as they can until about 1045, when we'll head to our TSMM FP+. I was hoping to see the Beauty and the Beast stage show but unfortunately I don't think the first show is until 11:00 so that won't work. We wanted to do Animation Academy so we're sad that closed. We're really not sure what else we'll do in this park -- we'll probably eat QS lunch (not sure where) and then leave after our 1:00 Star Tours FP+ to head back to the resort to relax and swim. Will be back for our dining package ADR at 6 pm, along with Fantasmic.

ADRs for Mom and Dad: None -- they'll be at AK in the morning and will leave after lunch
FP+ for Mom and Dad: Kilimanjaro Safari, Kali River Rapids, and FOTLK. They'll be done with those by 1:30 pm and will hit the road to head home.

Saturday, 15 Aug -- AK and Epcot
ADRs: Late lunch at Sanaa
FP+: None at AK. The plan is to arrive early and do EE (husband and the girls as many times as possible), the safari, KRR, and FOTLK. FP+ at Epcot that evening -- TT, Nemo, and Character Spot. I think we'll skip the Character Spot and Nemo -- we really just wanted the TT FP+ since I won't have ridden it yet, and then we'll wander through World Showcase and watch Illuminations. If anyone wants to head over to MK after that we will.

Sunday, 16 Aug -- departure day...sad....

Found your posts but playing with key words. We are missionaries in Honduras taking our four kids to Disney world Sept 2016, talk about culture shock for all of us! It will be 5 years since we have been stateside when we go.
