Returns

got a quick question...

if i buy something at a WDW resort or theme park and then *GASP* decide to return it.....

can i just stroll down to the my DVC resort gift shop to do the return? or will i need to go back to the park (or resort) to return the item?!?!?

You should be allowed to return anything that was purchased anywhere on property to your resort shop. I never had a problem if I bought a shirt at the parks and then found out it didn't fit, taking it back to the shop in my resort. There might be some items that won't be taken, but to my knowledge I have never seen that happen. Just make sure you have your receipt. Also if you can, try to charge things to your room. That way if you lose the receipt, there is still a record of your purchase and you might be able to at least exchange it at the place you made the purchase.

You can return items anywhere on Disney property! Just save your receipt for an easier transaction as some items are not coded for all registers/computers to read. I work at Epcot and we have a special return bin for items not purchased at our store.

I returned an item I purchased at the Pirates shop in MK to the gift shop at Pop Century. No problems at all. But definitely keep your receipt.
