Return of the castaway club blue sling backpack?

It's pretty messed up that customers on the Magic are getting the inaugural Treasure gifts while customers on the Treasure are not. That's not OK.

I always chuckle when these items are called 'gifts.' They are items DCL buys in bulk & is includes in your already overpriced cruise fare. Back in the day, they were of much better quality--plush full sized beach towels, sturdy backpacks, word-tile games, etc.--that we still have & use. At this point , they should knock a few bucks off the fare instead of providing these now sometimes odd, sometimes cheesy things. On the plus side, our church thrift shop has benefitted from the donation of all these things since the decline.

I saw the explanation somewhere that it was a mislabeled shipment and customs wouldn’t allow them to move the shipment so better to disseminate than trash

Thanks... mislabeled! I was assuming it was either misdelivered or they had a temporary shortage of gifts.

They aren’t trashing them. They are giving them out to guests on the Magic as castaway club gifts.

Except both are sailing out of Port Canaveral, so... Seems like it would be easy enough to get them on the correct ship.

Yeah, my DW is pretty angry about this. We’re sailing on the Treasure next week and she has been looking forward to getting one of the Treasure cooler backpacks since they were unveiled. She was sad when she’d heard the bags weren’t being given anymore, but understood they were going to be limited time, but is apoplectic now that it came out that they’re on the Magic instead.

Maybe they'll have them in stock again next week. With a mix up, they have to give out the old inventory until they get another shipment of inaugural gifts on the Treasure.

I wonder when or if Disney is going to correct the stateroom gifts. I know it's free and it's not guaranteed but Disney lists it as a perk for continuing to sail with the company so it should be fixed. I was looking forward to getting the Gold level gifts. I know it's silly, but it is something that just brings a little smile to my face. I love the Mickey head lanyards. I hope I get one in August when I sail. My nephew who is 5 is sailing with us and would love it! Fingers crossed

I would take you up on that offer if you're willing! On the Treasure now and my wife is not happy about the lack of our Gold gifts, especially the cooler backpack.

I'm sailing July 19 on the Treasure and really hoping they are able to give the cooler bag to Gold members. i may be back in a couple weeks to see if anyone has one they are willing to ship to me if they haven't gotten their act together.

On the Magic currently. DCL is giving out the normal white beach bag, round towel and wet dry bag. No blue sling bag!
