So I'm looking into flights for my upcoming trip and wondering what times would work best? On our last day we will be out of park passes...so I guess our only option is to swim at the pool or DTD??...but the flight times are either 7:30 in the evening (ME pick us up at 4:30) or 11:00 in the morning (ME pick us up at 8:00a.m.). Not sure what to do...would love a time in between of course...but I'm worried about the later flight not being able to rest in our room all day?:confused3 :confused3 any experience?

We always go for the later flight. My kids are 10 and almost 5. Check out is at 11 am. Then you can hang at your resort, or do what we do. Spend the day at DtD. We have a leisurely lunch and let the kids ride the carousel, train, and we shop. You can have your items shipped home or take them with you. Believe me the time will fly and taking transportation from and to your resort from DtD, 4:00 rolls around in no time. You should get to your resort earlier than 4:30 to pick up your luggage from Bell Services and then a last potty break. By the time the kids get on the plane they are nice and sleepy!;)

Yes, I would opt for the later time also. Getting the kids nice and sleepy for a plane ride home rather than rushing around in the morning and leaving bright and early sounds much nicer.

How long is your flight, and how far are you from the airport at the other end? We always end up going for the earlier flight home because we don't like to arrive home at midnight, especially if we have to be at work the next day. Our flights are about 3 hours long, and then it's about 3 hours from the time we get off the plane to the time we actually walk in the front door.

if they are easy going--then the PM flight will work fine. On the other hand, if they are pretty set in certain routines and tend to get cranky when disturbed,
then pick the earlier one. I also agree with others, if you have long flight, then AM--ours was only 1.5 hrs and it was summer---so, it was still light a 9 PM.

We did the later flight with 5 yr old twins. But they are used to traveling a lot and being on the go. We had leisurely breakfast and packed up, then checked out right at 11--so we had the room as long a possible. We went to the pool, swam and ate a later lunch by the pool, then got dressed for flight. You could also just go to DTD, play with legos, eat lunch, etc.
