Retreiving lost items

After our return from the 9/28 Magical Mystery Cruise, we realized we inadvertantly left a swim suit hanging in the shower when we left the ship. (That's what comes from having to clear Immigration at the ungodly hour of 6:00am.) From previous on-site stays at WDW, I know the Disney people do an incredible job of returning lost items to their homes. Is the same true of the cruise line? I'd like to send an email message to someone at DCL to find out whether or not they can return the item - does anyone have an email address to which I can write and see if it's been located?

If anything is found in the staterooms while they are being cleaned on the day of debarkation (or if items were left during the cruise and not claimed at guest service) they are immediately sent off the ship and placed in the lost & found area in the terminal.

My son lost his sandals and they had not turned up at guest service during the week.....as were were leaving the ship I suggested he just take a peek at the lost and found in the terminal and low and behold they were there!!!

We really started laughing because we chalked it up to gone for good.

What DCL does with the items in the terminal after everyone has cleared through is a mystery.

That works fine if you know you've lost something. We were off the ship by 8:15 and I'd be surprised if our cabin steward had even been in our cabin by then. I'll try the address Michelle posted and see what happens.

There is a lost and found department for items after you are off the ship. Here's a phone number 407-566-3734 (8:30 to 5:00 Mon. to Fri.)
We left something in the theatre the last night and it was found and returned to us.
